Key Information
Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster is an indoor wild mouse roller coaster designed by Mack Rides, and featuring a backstory that ties in with the 2002 movie version of Scooby-Doo. The ride building is designed to resembe Spooky Island Castle, which played a key role in the film.
The opening section of the coaster is essentially a dark ride, with guests passing through several scenes that set up to the plot. Unusually, the cars are carried to the top of the ride's first drop by a vertical elevator rather than a traditional chain lift, before racing through a series of tight twists and turns. Special effects and an animatronic Scooby-Doo add to the experience.
