Disney desperately needed to install more accommodation at the Walt Disney World Resort following its 1971 debut, and the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground was the quick-and-easy solution. It offers slightly more luxury than the average campground, including cabins with running water and cable TV. Two live dinner shows are popular fixtures at the resort: the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revnue and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. The Trail's End Restaurant also offers family-friendly fare.
