Originally opened in 1987 as Thunder River, this classic river rapids attraction received its new name as part of a sponsorship deal with Ribena in 2002 (which has since expired). Its sees riders boarding 8-person boats, before floating downs its relatively short 1,510-feet-long course.

As with all rapids rides, there is a random elements to Rumba Rapids, and riders will never quite be certain how wet they are going to get. Various effects are located around the circuit, most notably a waterfall located in the tunnel section.
