Key Information
One of only two S&S Sky Swat rides to have been built (the other being Slammer at Thorpe Park), Catapult has suffered from frequent downtime since its opening in 2006. When in action, Catapult resembles a large fly swat. It sees guests sitting in paddle-shaped gondolas at either end of a large arm, which is raised to around 50 feet. It then spins around in a circular motion, sending riders swooping from 105 feet down to ground level repeatedly. Loading times can be lengthy, with over-the-shoulder restraints required to keep thrill-seekers in their seats.
