Key Information
The double-decker Columbia Carousel has been in place at Six Flags Great America since 1976. An identical ride is located at California's Great America, once a sister park of the Six Flags property, but now owned by rival Six Flags.
The two rides hold the joint title of being the world's tallest carousels, and offer a classic merry-go-round experience. Riders board one of a number of ornately-decorated horses, which bob up and down as they rotate around on a central turntable.
