All eyes are on Epic Universe as the lands rise up and the park begins to take shape. In a recent update we saw New Trademark Names Revealed For Wizarding World And Ride Testing Begins At Epic Universe. Alongside Universal's third gate will be the Epic Hotels.

Located less than a mile south of Epic Universe will be a duo of huge hotels named Universal Terra Luna Resort and Universal Stella Nova Resort and it has now been confirmed that these hotels will open ahead of Epic Universe in early 2025. The opening of these two Epic Universe hotels will be staggered with the Universal Stella Nova Resort slated to open in January 2025 and then the Universal Terra Luna Resort will open the following month in February 2025.

Each of these adjoining properties will contain 750 rooms and will be themed after the stars and moon. The properties are located side by side (similarly to how the Dockside and Surfside hotels face each other at Universal's Endless Summer Resort) and will have a colorful exterior filled with reflective tiles carefully assembled in a mosaic.

Considering Epic Universe is not expected to open until spring/summer 2025, many are asking the question why the Universal Terra Luna Resort and Universal Stella Nova Resort are slated to open so much earlier?

Well, it makes sense for Universal to open these hotels prior to the official opening of Epic Universe as a sort of soft opening period in order to ensure all is running smoothly in preparation for the extremely busy opening of the park.

Also, both Universal Terra Luna Resort and Universal Stella Nova Resort are located very close to the Orange County Convention Center with events taking place throughout the year so there will be a demand for both these hotels before the actual opening of Epic Universe.

It is currently unknown what level these two adjoining properties will be, but based on where they are located it seems likely that they will be moderate or above, and will still likely command a hefty room rate, especially during the first few years of operation, while Epic Universe is still new. 

Construction on both the Universal Terra Luna Resort and Universal Stella Nova Resort is progressing well and their tiled exteriors are particularly attractive and eye catching. We will continue to update you with further information regarding the Epic Universe hotels.
