Key Information
Installed at La Ronde in 2006, Goliath was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Canada at the time - records that were surpassed by Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland in 2008. Both rides were manufactured by Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard.
Goliath's circuit stretches beyond the walls of La Ronde, and packs in a series of hills and drops. The highlight, though, is the opening drop, which sees riders plummeting 175 feet, hitting a top speed of 68 miles per hour.
For 2016, riders on Goliath will optionally be able to wear a virtual reality headset which will take them on a high-speed journey in a fighter jet that is taking on an alien invasion, synchronized with the movements of the coaster itself.
