Gulliver's Warrington (also known as Gulliver's World) is a theme park aimed at children aged 3-13. One of four Gulliver's parks in the UK, it has a strict policy of only admitting adults if they are accompanying a child. As well as an area (Lilliput Land) dedicated to the classic Gulliver's Tales story, the park features lands themed around the circus, the wild west, pirates and Alice in Wonderland. As is to be expected given its target age group, the park's rides are relatively tame, with the Antelope wooden roller coaster being the most thrilling.
Park History
Gulliver's World was the second of the Gulliver's theme parks to open, in 1989. It borrows many elements from Gulliver's Matlock Bath, the first park in the chain, and features a Disneyland-style hub-and-spoke layout centered on Lilliput Land Castle. It is owned by the family of Ray Phillips, who opened the original Gulliver's park in 1978 as a model village.
