Gulliver's Valley is a theme park aimed at children aged 3-13. One of a group of four similar parks (the others are in Matlock Bath, Warrington and Milton Keynes), it has a strict policy of only admitting adults if they are accompanying a child. As its name suggests, the park hosts an area (Lilliput Land) dedicated to the classic Gulliver's Travels story, and also features lands themed around the wild west, smugglers, toys and the time of the dinosaurs. The rides are generally aimed at younger children and hence are not too fierce, but there is a good mix.
Park History
Gulliver's Valley is the last of the four Gulliver's theme parks to open, in 2020. It was announced in 2018 with a proposed building cost of £37 million. It borrows many elements from Gulliver's Matlock Bath, the first park in the chain.. It is owned by the family of Ray Phillips, who opened the original Gulliver's park in 1978 as a model village.
