Similar to the WindSeeker and SkyScreamer rides that have been installed at Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks in the US during recent years, Pterodactyl offers a vertigo-inducing variation on classic "Chair-O-Plane" or "Waveswinger" attractions.

Riders on Pterodactyl sit in chairs that are suspended from a central gondola by chains. The gondola rises to the top of a 150-feet-tall tower, spinning as it goes. Guests swing out to the sides, taking in views of the entire park and beyond.
