De Vliegende Hollander (The Flying Dutchman) is a water coaster featuring dark ride elements, which opened a year late in April 2007. Up to 14 riders can pile into each of its boats, which begin by passing through a series of scenes that tell the story of a lost 17th century trading ship. After meeting the Flying Dutchman ghost ship, riders plunge into the underworld, before being lifted to the top of a towering 74-foot drop. The final, roller coaster-style section of the ride ends with a splash down that will leave many guests soaked.
