Key Information
Guests at Dollywood have to pay extra to experience SkyZip, which sees them traversing five separate zip lines. The experience lasts for approximately an hour.
The attraction was originally operated by Skyline Eco-Adventures, the original operator of the SkyZip, which sought compensation from Dollywood after a tree fell on to one of its overhead lines. This caused the attraction to be closed for several months of the 2011 season, with the company blaming nearby construction work on the park's new Wild Eagle roller coaster.
The two sides eventually reached a settlement, with Skyline Eco-Adventures ending its involvement with SkyZip. Dollywood will now take over operations of the attraction, which is set to reopen later in 2012.
