Opening Date:
Apr 12, 1992

Hidden away in a basement underneath Sleeping Beauty Castle is La Tanière du Dragon, an attraction that the majority of visitors to Disneyland Paris will breeze past without even knowing of its existence. It houses an enormous audio-animatronic dragon, which measures some 27 metres from head to tail – making it the largest figure of its type ever constructed when it made its debut. The dragon spends half of its time sleeping, and the other half breathing steam at visitors that dare to wake it. Don’t worry, though – it’s safely held prisoner by chains.

Grotto with sleeping dragon which occasionally wakes up, bellowing smoke but no fire. He roars quite loudly also. The grotto is damp and smells dank. May be too scary for small children.
