The Dolphin Lagoon is the setting for Discovery Cove's signature attraction, the Dolphin Swim Experience. Guests must pre-book a 30-minute time slot, during which they join a small group in the lagoon to meet one of the park's bottlenose dolphins.

Discovery Cove's trainers provide plenty of information about the dolphins as they lead the mammals through a series of activities. Guests are able to interact with the dolphins, too, patting and stroking them and even hitching a ride on the creatures' dorsal fins.

The Dolphin Swim Experience is open to guests aged 6 and older, and guests aged 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
