In August 2016 Cedar Point announced that the Soak City Water Park, adjacent to Cedar Point, would be renamed Cedar Point Shores and would be significantly upgraded with old rides refurbished and re-named, and 4 completely new attractions including a lagoon and water slides added for the 2017 season. The water park is set in 18 acres. There is an additional entrance fee payable for the water park, but guests should check the Cedar Point website for special offers to visit both parts of the Cedar Point park.
