As part of their 50 year anniversary celebrations, Carowinds opened a new section of the park, called, Aeronautica Landing in Spring 2023. This section of the park is dedicated to the history and future of flight. Aeronautica Landing features 5 new themed attractions and also has a new, upgraded dining venue, Terminal A. The new rides include Air Racer (a Zamperla Air Racer), Gear Spin and Air Walker  - also made by Zamperla, and a classic Trabant ride called Gyroforce.
