Located around half an hour's drive from the holiday town of Newquay, Camel Creek was known for many years as Cornwall's Crealy. It is based around a countryside theme, and features a number of farmyard-style animal attractions. Its rides and shows are primarily aimed at younger children, with a large number of playgrounds in the line-up, alongside a handful of traditional amusement park attractions.
Park History
Originally opened in 1989 as a park where children could meet shire horses, the Trelow Farm site in Tredinnick gradually expanded to incorporate a number of other attractions. It was acquired by Crealy Great Adventure Parks in 2004, becoming Cornwall's Crealy. This has led to a number of new additions, including a new mascot, Buddy Bear. In August 2015, the park was bought out again, this time by Alton Towers founder John Broome who invested £1.5m in a new family ride - the Indoor 5D Super Sim Theatre as part of a multi-million five year plan.
