Dive Machine

Named after an African bird said to dive straight down to capture prey, this 200-foot tall vertical-fall caoster features a fall through a misty ancient tower and a splashdown in a lush pool that sends two tails of water streaming skyward. This ultra-enormous, eight-per-row roller coaster is a force to be reckoned with for even experienced riders.

I have not returned to the park since SheiKra's opening in 2005, but I hope to return soon, partly because of the lasting impression that this coaster left on the experience at the terrific Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay.

SheiKra's major advantage compared to most roller coasters across the U.S. is the truly unique moments that the coaster delivers. From the first perch at the top of the vertical drop to the braking system that throws water up into the air like talons going across the water, this bird will take you for a ride that you will never forget!
