2. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin - Disneyland & Tokyo Disneyland
Now that we've covered a great deal of classic animated movies from yesteryear, it's time to turn our attention towards something a bit more energetic, and there's no better ride than Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. Based on the ground-breaking 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, which stars Christopher Lloyd and the late Bob Hoskins, this appropriately-located Toon Town attraction is a wild, whacky and whimsical affair that plunges you into a rich color pallet as you revisit iconic moments from the movie. There are some pretty neat effects throughout this ride too, with the most impressive involving the titular rabbit opening up an inky round portal for you to pass through as the ride finishes.
1. Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast - Tokyo Disneyland
If you're a fan of 1991's Beauty and the Beast, there's simply no reason for you not to be completely swept away by this magical experience. Enter the Beast's castle and hop into an enchanted teapot, and meet your favorite characters from the movie in astounding audio-animatronic form, whether it's Belle, Beast, Philippe, Lumier, Cogsworth, Mrs. Pot or Chip. It might be some time before we get to see this enchanted experience in other Disney Parks besides Tokyo Disneyland, but the fact it exists is a good start.
If you're a bit of a Disney purist, you'll love each and every one of these animation-inspired attractions. While they're able to replicate the worlds created in film, we think it's the audio-animatronics that deserve the most attention. Like CG movie-inspired rides such as Frozen Ever After, the characters are the mirror image of their on-screen counterparts!
