7. Star Wars Launch Bay

We’ve gushed about our love for Disney Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars Launch Bay before. It is very easy to skip this attraction, particularly if you get spooked by the busy character meet and greet lines. However, this attraction remains our favorite place to catch our breath in this ever-more popular park (enjoy the calm moments while they last before Galaxy’s Edge opens). The Launch Bay has plenty of cozy corners and benches for guests to relax on, and we’ve even seen parents letting their little ones catch a nap. There’s also a lovely courtyard, and if you’re a fan of Star Wars, the museums and endless Easter eggs are a superfan’s delight.

8. Tom Sawyer Island

We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it again—Tom Sawyer’s Island is a terrible, spider-laden place, and there’s no reason anyone should go there. It probably doesn’t even exist anymore. It’s just a legend. Carry on. There’s nothing to see here.

All right, you caught us… again.

We love Tom Sawyer Island, and not just for the uncanny way Injun Joe’s Cave leaves us quavering in eek-I-peed-a-little terror. It’s because there are so many places on Tom Sawyer Island to sit back and seriously relax. You can picnic on the island’s high crags one hour then lounge in a rocking chair and watch the trains of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad the next. You can take a leisurely stroll through the island’s winding paths or let yourself get lost in the Mystery Mine and Escape Tunnel (don’t get lost in Injun Joe’s Cave—we might scream when we find you). For those looking to enjoy the peaceful side of Disney and embrace chill in their vacation, there’s no better place in the Most Magical Place on Earth.

What’s your favorite attraction to chill out in Walt Disney World?
