This is the weekly news, rumors and refurbishments update for Walt Disney World for the week of January 18, 2015.
Here are the three biggest updates from around the resort for the past seven days.
1. An interactive queue is now open at Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom Park might not be getting all of the upgrades coming to Disneyland’s Peter Pan’s Flight, but it’s not being completely left out. An interactive queue debuted this past week for guests waiting in one of the longest lines at the park.
The new queue occupies the space of the former bathrooms that were replaced by the Tangled themed restrooms across the pathway. Guests will watch Tinker Bell fly around and interact with objects in the room. Guest’s shadows will also come to life and can interact with other shadows.
The updated queue is a welcome change and years in the making, considering Disney had to demolish the old Skyway and build a new set of restrooms. Now if only we could update the attraction.
