3. Pirates of the Caribbean may be closing for an extensive refurbishment later this year

This has yet to be confirmed, but Pirates of the Caribbean is likely to undergo an extensive 6 month refurbishment. The attraction may close in the beginning of summer and is expected to reopen for the holiday season.

Pirates of the Caribbean is an attraction that desperately needs a refurbishment from the constant downtime, broken effects, boats getting stuck, boats taking on water, and many more disasters that plague the attraction.

Hopefully this refurbishment will take Pirates out of its misery and back into the spotlight as one of the Magic Kingdom’s best attraction.

4. Kali River Rapids is closing for a 2 week refurbishment

Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closed from January 20 - February 9, 2015. The refurbishment will relocate the entrance for the attraction. The new entrance will be where the old Fastpass kiosks were located.
