3. Disney's Animal Kingdom: Pizzafari

Pizzafari

Believe it or not, Pizzafari is one of my favorite quick service dining locations in all of Disney World—yes, really. The menu here isn’t particularly interesting—it’s mostly just a small variety of pizzas and some breadsticks. But I love that the pizza comes with a Caesar salad, and I’ve never had any trouble finding a table, even when dining with a large group. Plus, the pizza is hot and cheesy, and the salad is fresh and crisp, and that’s really all I need when I’m eating lunch at a theme park. Well, that and a cool place to sit on a hot day, and there’s always plenty of open seats inside Pizzafari.

Apparently, Disney considers that a problem. According to multiple sources, insider documents at Disney have confirmed that at least part of Pizzafari is being converted into a table service location. The existing quick service at Pizzafari will supposedly continue, but table service will be added to the restaurant somehow in 2015. No one knows for sure if the table service will be offered alongside the quick service or if the restaurant will run like Be Our Guest, which currently offers quick service lunch and full service dinner.

There’s also no word yet on the menu, but I assume it will still offer pizza. Why? Well, for one, the name of the restaurant is Pizzafari; it could be changed, of course, but Disney hasn’t announced anything yet. Plus, every Disney World park offers pizza. It would be quite unusual for Disney to remove it from Animal Kingdom’s lineup, especially since most of the food offered there is somewhat unique. Without pizza, all the people with boring tastebuds (like me) would have nowhere to eat.

4. Magic Kingdom: Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise

According to Disney’s refurbishment schedule, the Jungle Cruise attraction will be closed from April 13 to May 8, 2015. Disney hasn’t announced any changes to the attraction, so it’s most likely just a maintenance period for the ride.

Disney also closed Jungle Cruise in 2013 for a refurbishment, and the changes were noticeable but not drastic when the ride reopened. Some overgrown foliage was trimmed or removed, broken effects were working again, and everything got a fresh coat of paint. They’ll probably do something similar this time around. Most guests appreciate the classic ride just as it is, though a few fresh puns in the spiel would be a nice addition.
