This is the weekly news, rumors and refurbishments update for Walt Disney World for the week of October 12, 2014.

Here are the three biggest updates from around the resort for the past seven days…

1. Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk will open on December 18, 2014

Trattoria al Forno is a new restaurant located beside Epcot at Disney’s Boardwalk. It is replacing Kouzzina by Cat Cora and will feature Italian cuisine.

The restaurant will be open daily for breakfast and dinner and you can begin making reservations on October 21.

2. Hiro and Baymax from Big Hero 6 are making their to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hiro and Baymax will be meeting inside The Magic of Disney Animation building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. According to Disney, you will “… tour the lab from the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, and then meet Hiro Hamada and his huggable buddy Baymax in Hiro’s garage workshop.”. 

The meet-and-greet for Big Hero 6 will replace the current meet-and-greet for Wreck-It Ralph which will be closing on October 24. The new meet-and-greet will open in mid-November.
