6. Caro-Seuss-el (Islands of Adventure)

Caro-Seuss-el is just what it sounds like – a Seuss-themed carousel. Here you can hop on all manner of whimsical beasts for a quick spin. There’s no height restriction so you can stand beside small children and let them ride on the animals if they’re brave enough. There are also stationary seats for children who want to spin without mounting a beast.

7. If I Ran the Zoo Play Area (Islands of Adventure)

The If I Ran the Zoo play area is filled with hidden delights you simply won’t notice from the outside. It’s organized into a series of twists and turns that leaves intriguing discoveries around every corner. Make sure you pull levers, push buttons, and turn wheels anywhere you see them. This interactive play land has lots of surprises for you. Toward the back, If I Ran the Zoo also features a small water play area, but you can easily skim around it if you’re not ready for the kids to get wet.

8. Oh! The Stories You’ll Hear! (Islands of Adventure)

Oh! The Stories You’ll Hear! Is a show that usually takes place inside the Circus McGurkus restaurant. Beloved Seuss characters like Cat in the Hat show up for story time. In between tales, the characters dance to short musical numbers and bounce around to interact with guests. Time your meal or snack to coincide with this brief show for a kid-friendly treat.

9. Camp Jurassic (Islands of Adventure)

Camp Jurassic is large interactive play area located inside Jurassic Park. The entrance isn’t very flashy so you might pass right by if you’re not looking for it. Head inside and you’ll find lots of caves, bridges, stairs, and paths to explore. Look around for interactive elements, like the dinosaur footprints that correspond to different noises coming from the bushes, for extra entertainment.

10. Me Ship, The Olive Play Area (Islands of Adventure)

Near Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges is a giant play area designed to look like Popeye’s ship. The spinach storage room is perfect for little ones because every inch of it is padded for the ultimate in safe rambunctious play. Head up to the second level for a playable piano. Take a look at the sheet music and follow along with the colored keys. You’ll get a big surprise when you finish playing it!

The Universal Orlando Resort may market to older children and adults, but there’s plenty here for tots and small children to enjoy when you know where to look. Make sure you hit up these hot spots on your next visit.

#8 is wrong. The show doesn't 'usually' take place in Circus McGurkus. Not even in the slow time. They have their designated stage outside between One Fish Two Fish & Cat in the Hat.

I don't even think they go in there when it's raining either but they might. But no.. Their stage is outside where it's been for gosh knows how long not inside of the restaurant.

Research research before writing an article.
