The words "free" and "Walt Disney World" are not often seen together in the same sentence. Disney offers an amazing experience, and it charges appropriately for it - so you can expect your bank account to be significantly depleted after a vacation at the resort. If you want to bring home some souvenirs to remember the trip by, you're also likely to part with a large sum of cash - but you don't have to. There are plenty of free keepsakes on offer around the parks that will trigger memories just as effectively as the more expensive items that are on offer in the resort's stores. Here are 10 completely FREEsouvenirs you can pick up during your next visit to Walt Disney World!
7. LEGO Mini Models
The LEGO Store at Downtown Disney runs a special event on the first Tuesday of every month, during which young visitors can learn how to make a mini model - which they can take home with them at no cost. The events are open to children aged 6 to 14 only.
6. Transportation Trading Cards
Cast Members working on the different forms of Walt Disney World transportation are equipped with trading cards to hand out to guests who ask. The cards feature monorails, buses and boats, and you don't know which ones you'll receive which adds to the fun. If a Cast Member has run out of the cards, try asking one of their colleagues.
5. Tomorrowland Speedway Driving License
The Tomorrowland Speedway allows kids to find out what it's like to drive their parents around. And as a reward, they'll receive their very own driving license.
Comments
Last time we were there my son asked a very nice monorail driver for a transportation training card and he was given an entire set that the driver had collected. It was from the early 90s so there were vehicles in it that no longer are used. He also got a monorail drivers license. It never hurts to ask because the Disney people try their hardest to make your experience a good one!
