I'm So Excited about Star Wars Land Coming to Disney World It's Awesome Idea! I love Star Wars!
I, for one, am really pumped that it is finally official! I am disappointed at the timing as I likely will be going back to the World in 2018 and there is no way any of these improvements will be completed.
I've heard they are cutting into the parking lot and will add a parking garage to make up for that loss.
If only Disney would follow Universal's lead and actually produce an attraction instead of "announcing" an attraction. I haven't been to WDW since 2007. But might consider visiting if there is ever something new. For now I will continue to spend my money at Universal during my twice yearly visits to Orlando.
When is this new Star Wars land anticipated to go live?
What's sad is Universal would have done this in a year, maybe two. Disney will take at least seven years to be halfway done, you just know it. Looking at you, New Fantasyland.
Given the fact this is clearly not Tatooine and they actually announced the land will represent an entirely new location in the Star Wars universe, why would you suggest the Mos Eisley cantina is included in the plans? Pretty sure the infamous hangout for "scum and villainy" wouldn't be part of a galaxy wide franchise.
