Annual passholders spend less for their pass than the average person pays for a week in the parks. So don't refer to them as paying more for their ticket.

Booked to go to disney over Easter in April . We have a 14 day ultimate ticket . From uk. Disney have limited us o 7 days of fastpass+ reservations. A shame as we cant book any more until we have used one of he days.

Was at Disney in January and used the new system in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. I didn't like many aspects of the new electronic system.
1) I don't particularly mind the new limit of three fast passes a day. Even though I was good at "working" the paper system and would usually get around ten. I realise that it's fairer to all. However, having said that what I do not like is the complete inflexibility around your quota of three. For example I adore Splash Mountain but don't really care for Space Mountain. Given the choice I'd use my quota to ride Splash three times. Sadly you don't get that option. You can get one fast pass per attraction max.
2) There is no spontaneity left when you have to book weeks in advance.
3) Disney doesn't reveal all the available slots that day for you to make your own specific schedule. Instead your offered three different schedules that contain your three ride choices. We had already made dinner reservations and often the fast pass schedule clashed with dinner. So in fact we only really had one choice to choose from. I find it incredulous that a fully computerised system couldn't work out not to ave your dinner and fast pass clash.
4) Once you've selected your option you can't alter it either. For example after Expedition Everest I was feeling nauseous and really couldn't face riding Dinosaur straightaway. So we ended up 'losing' that fast pass. Later in the day I asked whether we could maybe get another one if there were any left for the day and I was told in no uncertain terms that "everyone gets three, and that's that!" Then I got a mini lecture on how this new system was do much fairer etc etc.

In conclusion I'd say that fast pass + makes your trip less fun not more. It takes away your freedom of choice which you really need because what rides you ride on any given day are based on your mood. Having prebooked slots months in advance is simply too rigid for what's meant to be an exciting, spontaneous day at the park.

why make everything so complicated. these fast passes are great but if you are going to lose money then why bother. disney gets way over enough money on their food, etc. i like a vacation for just that, a vacation and everything there costs WWWAAAYYYYY over what it should and if you fly they really get you with costs of wcs, elec. wcs, etc when you can rent off site for much much less. everything cost down to a simple drink of water at the parks and that is such a shame. water was free like air and it's a shame to know that Walt has his parks charging for it. Wonder if they will charge for air soon? If fast pass is so much trouble and it's still causing long lines, etc. then why not just get rid of them and EVERYONE stand in line equally....

We had been to Disney in September and had leftover tickets which we used in January. We received NEW wrist bands for our second visit (a waste of Disney money). The tickets were relegated to the wrong bands so our fingerprints did not match the tickets. One poor cast member took half-hour fixing this problem! But since only three of the four members of our party had a problem, only three wrist bands were involved. The fourth person lost her Fastpasses for the next day completely. We never understood why this happened. We needed to change everyone's selections. I think it would be better if they changed the system so as each Fastpass is used daily, you can ask for a new one(s). As for the tiered system, it sounds like the old days of the "E" ticket. Don't want to deal with THAT again!

FLORIDA ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS FOR YEARS. AFTER THIS YEAR WE WILL OT BE GETTING THEM ANY LONGER BECAUSE EVEN WITH THE WRIST BANDS, THIS SYSTEM BLOWS.

If we are going to take the 90 minute ride to Disney we better be occupied on rides and shows 80% of the day. 50% on rides and 50% in lines means no visits or once the hour waits in line start we go home. NO EXTRA SPENDING IN STORES. Disney already gets enough money with our meals and visits each month. The feeling is the same with so many other Florida Annual passholder people we know. UNIVERSAL IS WINNING CAUSE SAME SERVICES AND CHEAPER.

Nicely stated ... change is part of life, but I do not like the new system ... especially, #6 --> why spend the extra money to stay in a luxury Disney hotel when you get the same benefits for the economy hotels ... Disney sure is working hard to take the fun out of WDW ... I guess we will be spending more time at Universal and less time at WDW

I am really unhappy about all the confusion of fastpass+. We are planning our first ever trip to WDW at the end of Feb. and now I find out about all these changes, only a few weeks out??? tThat there are much more limitations for people who are staying off-site? I have just started to get my bearings for how to prepare for WDW, so that my son and daughter could see the things that are most important for them to see, and now it sounds like the off-site people are getting the shaft! My kids both have special needs (Autism), and keeping to such a rigid schedule is extremely difficult. I can only see fastpass+ making things worse, and bias to on-site-ers. I'm staying off-site mainly because of a free timeshare that was gifted to me, that has to be used up by a certain date. I have never been to WDW, and at this rate, it's gonna be a one time deal, because everything seems so complex with all the pre-planning you have to do to get the best out of this vacation. Not to mention that you spend way more money on a Disney Vacation than on most other ones. I have planned many vacations and enjoyed the process, but I am not enjoying this planning for WDW one bit! I feel like I am taking a college 3 credit course on Disney 101. And then all the commercialism on top of it! Ugh! I'm more of a nature gal anyway, and I am having serious doubts as to whether I will ever go to WDW or any of the Disney parks again after this trip... and I haven't even been there yet. The point of taking a vacation is to relax and enjoy! Not micromanage every minute of every day that you are on the vacation. *Sigh*. Wish they stuck with the original fastpass system. Seemed a much better system to people like me who thrive on Spontaneity. If they did, then I might feel differently than I do. WWWD? - What Would Walt Do?

Sounds complicated. My daughter and I get to Disney at least once a year. Never really seem to mind the lines. We take advantage of extra magic hours. Seems to. Me that if you have to prebook you could do it around magic hours. Something to think about.

We have been twice during the testing phase of the Magic bands and Fastpass+. In October - it was awful. The system went down and I had to carry a paper copy of my fastpass+ times to show as we entered the ride. December was much better but they had started the tiered choices for EPCOT and we hated having to choose between Soarin' (my favorite) and Test Track (my husband and sons favorite). In October we could still get paper tickets for fastpasses with out room key but in December they had stopped giving out the room keys and it all was only on the Magic band. I personally like this better. No getting to the park early to get a Toy Story Mania fast pass and fantasmic without the dinner option but it does have its downfalls as well. I would be happy with more choices with a Deluxe resort choice.

During the week we were there in December we experienced problems with the new FP+ system, very limiting on FP+ selections and when you select a FP for a ride that goes down (Fast Track in Epcot) and it stops working, you are SOL. It wouldn't be so bad if the MDE App worked well and wasn't deathly slow!! The Disney WIFI is also terribly slow. They need to get it together in the technical dept!

We were there for 10 days in Dec. I liked being able to pick my fast pass+ rides before we got there. I knew where I was going most of the time and if things weren't going to work out I could change them in the park or at my hotel. However I would not think it is fair to give people who stay in a more expensive hotel more selections. We stay where we do because we are only in our hotel to sleep and take baths. We get up at 6am. and don't get back till late. Staying in an expensive room just doesn't pay. We can stay for more days and spend more on souvenirs. That is why we are there for 10 days.

Suppose you want to ride a ride and have no fast pass. Will your wait In line time be greatly increased. I am going down next month, all the fast passes seem to be set up with in an hour or so of each other. So in theory I guess you could take your first ride near the end of your window allowing you to walk off and right on to the beginning of your next window. Like everything else it will take some shaking out. We are DVC and annual pass-holders.

As a park visitor since 1972 and an annual passholder for MANY years, now living in Florida, I find the fastpass+ to be an annoyance and not fair to those who do not stay on property. I do not plan what park I will go to until the day of arrival. It also depends on weather, which is so changeable in Florida. I park hop a LOT and now hear that you can't get fastpass+ in more than one park. I find that unacceptable. With little grandkids in tow, I think they will be disappointed in not being able to see what they want without waiting on long lines because no passes are left.

My family and I were actually just there in September of 2013 and we had seen some of the passes. Most of the people we talked to we're not to thrilled about the past pass changes. They said the only cool thing is the easy entrance into the parks

This sounds really complicated and sounds like it's taken the fun out of the rides. Perhaps the suggestion to take away the pre-planning and keep it for the day of visit would make it better.

Not all visitor staying on site have the option to pre book fastpass+ I live in the uk and as so do not receive park tickets till check in this and Emh were the reason I booked to stay at disney........ Unfair!

dot if you're staying on site, you can book fast passes 60 days ahead. go to the disney website, sign up for my disney experience, your reservation/tickets should show up. if not, call disney asap and they'll help you straighten it out.

I absolutely love the idea of fastpass + it's very clever and can add a real personal touch to disneys already amazing customer service and it's certainly simplifying some processes, however I think if Disney simply removed the pre book phase and just made fastpass + an on the day thing it would far improve it that way everyone would be in the same boat, I can assure you no one has ever said in the park "I wish I could have booked my fastpass months ago"!
