I have brought three generations of my family to Disney over the past forty years, been a vacation club owner for 20 years, annual pass holder for 15 years, spent well over $500,000 over this time , even built a house six miles from the parks , to be able to take advantage of our platinum annual pass, bringing my daughter and family in November , last time for me . Did enjoy the resorts and sometimes just spending the day walking around the parks, Now too many rules, I am fortunate I can afford to spend my money anywhere , doubtful it will be at a Disney Park or resort . Also, did not renew our annual passes and sold our home in Clermont

A big reason is that Park Pass ensures that guests on existing tickets agree to the COVID-19 liability waiver. Existing tickets were extended to September 26, 2021. I could expect Park Pass to be phased out (at least for resort guests) after that.

The terms & conditions for new tickets contain the waiver which will probably be permanent.

My wife and I have AP's we're planning to activate in December. We can only make three park reservations in advance, and we usually visit in several two week trips during an AP year. We're planning to buy USO AP's for the coming year to hedge our bets. So we'll be spending money at Universal that we'd rather be spending at Disney.

If I am staying onsite and paying premium prices I should get to go where I want and when without a reservation. This is bad for guests.

If I’m paying for the highest level Platinum Annual Pass, I’d better be allowed to go into whichever park I want, whenever I want without making a reservation and without blackout days! The whole reason I got the top level was to avoid blackout days altogether. Having to make a reservation is just another form of blackout. Not a fan of Mr. Chapek. Will he lower the price of the top passes to compensate us for the reduced benefits? Pfft, I’m guessing not. 😠

Ex-Disney Fanatic. I am not a fan. My family and I switched to Universal annual passes when Disney ended their annual pass program. I love it. I just show up and enjoy the day. You're telling me, that if I become an annual passholder at Disney, if they bring back passes, I still have to make a reservation? Nah. I'm good.

This is such a shame. Walt would be so angry. It's almost a shell of it's former self at this point. Sure sucks for locals.

I totally agree. I have often felt that Walt would be rolling over in his grave if he could see the way that accountants are killing the magic. They need to stop looking at the $$$ and listen to the people who truly love and believe in Walt's vision and mission.
I've been a DVC member and annual pass holder for the past 13 years. As much as I have cherished the memories made during this time, it might be time to find new adventures elsewhere. Certainly not looking forward to my last Magical Express trip in October. ☹️😢

personally I do not like the park reservation system and neither do any of my friends that have annual passes. We had company from up north a couple weeks ago on a last minute trip for them. They wanted to go to Hollywood studios and there was absolutely NO reservations availiable at all so we went to Universal studios instead which was a great day but not what they wanted. If the reservation system stays I would love it if we ( the passholders ) could have 4 or 5 reservation days to use , not 3. Its not enough to reserve days in the future we may want plus have a day or two to use now. Its tough to even get into the parks we want and having to have a reservation and it takes the spontinaety of being able to get up and decide to go to a park that day. We have gotten our AP passes for another year but if the way the passholders are being treated now continues we will either get a lesser pass or not get one at all

What about park hoppers ? I’m coming in November..
