Masks should most definitely not be required, I do not plan to participate in any of the amusement parks in any state not just Florida as long as they continue to require a mask. I would hope that would be lifted soon as I would love to take my family to all the Florida theme parks this year since we are moving back. I couldn't imagine having to wear a mask and enjoy my time. The cost is too much to force people to suffocate themselves in the heat OUTDOORS, not sure why anyone would subject themselves to it.

I was agree with everyone on this page. I went down in December only because I had renewed my annual pass last December and felt like I was wasting money. Mask mandates are ridiculous. It took away all the fun and Disney was worse than Universal. Who wants family photos with masks on! If people feel safe then let them do what they want, but others should be able to choose. I’m paying to go ride rides and smile and scream. Not pass out from breathing in my smelly hot breath all day! Cannot even take a drink without them yelling “pull over to the side”...because I’m going to 100% infect someone with Covid by drinking my water while they are six feet ahead of me! I cannot believe the world right now. So naive to believe everything the government says. Don’t you think if masks worked then nobody would be infected...just saying. Sure it might reduce the risk by a small percentage but how long are we going to live in fear. It’s a virus they are always here. We need to go back to normal!

As a Floridian I can in no way support the decision to force people to wear masks in the hot outdoors. And the fact that they go around "inforcing" it makes it seem very Nazi Germany not family friendly. Imagine the teenage girl walking around in 95 degree weather to tell a paying Guest they need to pull up their mask. Rediculous! Let's face it...(no pun intended) IF you are really, actually concerned or more appropriately "scared" of sickness Public places would be the last place you would go. So all those mask wearers who like wearing them, like to feel superior and have very little actual concern for the health of themselves let alone others.

My family and I have attended Disney world every year for the last eight years. We have visited at least a week each year from out of state. We will not return until mask mandates are removed. Forcing visitors to walk outside in the heat with face masks!!!!???

Drop the mask mandates! If a visitor doesn't feel safe and chooses to wear a mask, that is fine. It shouldn't be required. We have had the COVID vaccine and think it's ridiculous that the theme parks still require a mask even after the governor dropped the mandates. If you haven't had the COIVD vaccine or just feel safer wearing a mask, that is your choice. It shouldn't be forced.

Our family would love to return to theme parks but won't do so until these idiotic mask mandates are removed. They clearly haven't helped anything and it's much too hot to enjoy a park when you are struggling to breathe all day.

Mask mandates are a joke! They are proven to do nothing, and it even says so on the box...Until this scamdemic goes away, my family will not spend 0.01 in these parks. Masks may make people "feel safe" but they are and were nothing more than a massive political ploy to gain control over the masses and spread and induce fear. The left is controlling the population thru fear. Plain and simple. #NeverWearingAMask.

We would love to return to Orlando. Our kids have been asking to go back to Disney World and to visit Universal Orlando. As they have only been to Universal Hollywood. We were about to book a trip when everything closed. We generally stay on property at Disney World. However, we are not about to spend the money for a two week vacation which requires masks. Only once masks restrictions are lifted and people are given a choice will we return. Character photo ops need to be started back up. All food needs to be open, without restrictions on where you can eat or drink. Shows and fireworks also need to return to normal.

We chose to go to Volcano Bay, so that we wouldn’t have to wear a stupid face diaper all day. I refuse to spend the kind of money it costs to go to a theme park, if the have a face mask mandate

If it wasn’t such a long trip we would op for something like this as long as it seemed lined weren’t long. Otherwise still way too much time in face diapers. However traveling cross country for only one of the areas attractions isn’t worth it.

My family had to get a refund on our theme park passes because my daughter and I can't wear masks due to serious medical reasons. I know a number of others who can't wear masks, and we are being discriminated against by these ridiculous mask mandates. What happened to our rights as protected by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act? Obviously we can't return until mask mandates end.

We visited in October with our entire family it was brutal in the heat wearing a mask it took away the joy of having our freedom we were sweating under the mask constantly wiping ourselves to try to stay dry this should not be mandatory allow the people to choose for Gods sake this is America! The self serve food was canceled, there were no fast passes, The mask create a sadness around the park oh did I mention there were no fireworks shows or any shows at all why did I even bother to go ...all the magic gone! Disney stop taking the joy out of our annual pass!

Mask are a scam do not follow the science. I have cancelled all of my annual passes and will not return to any of the parks until they drop the mask charade.

I'm considering taking my 9 yr old to Bush Gardens Tampa and Sea World Orlando in April and I won't take her if we have to wear a stupid mask all day what's the point if I can't get pictures of her enjoying herself because she has a damn mask on. I can't get an answer from the parks whether or not I would have to wear a mask. Apparently planning is banned too.

The mandatory masks rule needs to go! Nobody wants to wear a mask in 100 degree weather! Everything needs to go back to normal at the theme parks! It's not fair my severely autistic son cant go because of the required masks that he's not able to wear!

Never wearing a mask ever - struggling theme parks are losing opportunities for a silent majority of people who want to be individually responsible for their health and welfare- we don’t want others telling us what we must do - whatever happened to Liberty and Freedom?

If the people are so concerned with mask mandates, they can wear one. If their masks are so great they should be fine. If people choose not to wear one that is their decision . If they get sick it is still their decision. Simple

I will NOT go to any theme park if I have to wear a mask. Seriously, I have trouble breathing anyway. Mask wearing is the most uncomfortable situation to be in, especially in that heat...NO WAY. I'm not afraid of the "cold "either. My 81 year old mother was just diagnosed with Covid 19 and all she had was sniffles...she even said at one point that she thinks they made a mistake. My father never tested positive and hovers around her 24/7. It's Ridiculous and i'm over it. Would love to come visit in November but I will Not be made to wear that dumb mask.

Def get rid of the mask. Some people have health conditions and def having anxiety is not working well with mandated mask and me. Feels honestly like being suffocated. I feel like we are in a "free" country where it should still be our choice if we want to wear a mask or not.

We are DVC and Passholders but won’t be going until masks are no longer required.

Contrary to the beliefs of some, we can move on from the “mandatory” mast wearing especially while in outdoor areas. For this who chose that that want to wear them can and should be able to do so on their own free will. We have been annual pass holders for years and most definitely will not be doing so going forward until the mask mandates are lifted. Open up freely and we will be back immediately! Until then you are hurting the tourist market and keeping locals from wanting to attend!

I think indoors if you can’t social distance then masks would be fine but outdoors it’s unnecessary.

You went families to spend thousands of their dollars on an experience. That is WDW. No way am I spending that type of money and forcing my children to wear a mask and be in fear of other people. Money talks and Disney is doing this for PC reasons. They are trying to dance around it, but until they remove the mask mandate, people with the means to come to the parks WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Masks off

Get rid of the masks you don’t put a mask on at the beach or water parks and that works let it be if someone wants to let them and if others don’t then let it be a choice.

I have been a Pass holder for over 6 years. I am no longer one because Of the Masks. I refuse to sit in this Florida heat with my Girls with a Mask on. We must get back to normal. those who are scared to visit either stay Home like we have all this time or wear your masks and leave the ones that are not scared to get back to there lives. I remember walking through the parks and seeing people wear masks so why can’t you do the same. We are safe to go back to normal.

I will not spend thousands of dollars to be required to cover my face and the face of my children!! Drop the mandatory mask and I’ll be there in a minute!!! Love Disney, but not your policies!

Get rid of the masks! You are outside.

Wouldn’t go to any theme park if I have to wear a mask. Cost way to much money to be uncomfortable.

The problem with letting people choose whether they want to use a mask or not is that 90% of adults are very irresponsible the mask its just to be respectful and help other people not get sick whether its a family member or a strange
If they are sick and not have a mask then it becomes like before again. My children and parents have not been out of the house since march because of underlying conditions, i took out reservations to disney because of how well i hear they are operating in capacity and cleanliness . With the new rules i will not be able to go
Everything has become a problem now a days and adults are in their own fault,
Whats the problem its a piece of cloth in your face the same way you put clothes and change your underwear

In reply to by Yanet (not verified)

Seriously, Stay at home...according to your statement 90 percent of people disagree with you. If you are so afraid stay home. Most people with a brain no that it's a cold and If masks REALLY worked we would have been wearing them every flu season.

We booked a week at Universal but will cancel if they keep the mask

Get rid of the masks! They do not work. Also, enough with WDW acting like a dictatorship.

We LOVE Disney and have been there 13 times in 12 years. We’re from MN. As much as we love it we will NOT go back until the mask mandate is lifted. I don’t wear one in MN, SD, or Iowa. I won’t pay a fortune to wear one on vacation.

I will hop on a plane for a visit as soon as mask requirements are dropped!

I won't be back until masks are dropped. As a non-local, I won't pay thousands of dollars to be uncomfortable and hot with only the top half of my face tan. No thanks.

Do it!

Remove mandatory masks!! Let people chose whether to wear them or not.

Masks and social distancing must be maintained. Increasing the capacity to 50% would be a good test. However, we will have to wait and see what happens 28 days from today. Will the numbers in cases increase, stay steady or decline. In addition, I would hate to see theme park employees get called back to work only to be sent back on furlough or layoff three weeks later. Not to mention the potential loss of life due to COVID-19

In reply to by Mary Susan (not verified)

I am scheduled to be at Disney World Oct25- Oct 27. When I made the reservations I was under impression it would be reduced crowd, face masks ect. If Disney opens the parks up without the CDC practices including face masks I will be cancelling my reservation.

Open it up. The CDC has clearly stated that you don't need to be tested if asymptomatic-whether or not you are wearing masks and whether or not you have been exposed to someone with an active case. That means that they don't believe it can be transmitted via an asymptomatic carrier. Give a temp test and then leave us alone. The governor is giving Disney a 'get out of jail free' card and I hope they take it. Masks in 90 degree weather are miserable

Please God, get rid of the useless face masks. We can't breathe in the Fla. heat and it ruins the day

please remove mandatory mask. If people don't feel safe then they can wear masks.

I will only go to places that enforce wearing face masks and practicing social distancing ... at least until there is a Covid vaccination.

I will stay home if universal ends masks and social distancing, too soon and too much risk.

Choose to wear or not wear a mas k your choice now . I choose not

Ditch the masks!

Follow the governor’s guidelines. Let the free market economy take over. If people want to go without masks and social distancing let them go. If you want to wear a mask and stay away from people, then do it. But don’t impose your fears in everyone else.

Open the bars and restaurants, and other attractions, but keep the masks and lower capacity.

We will wait to visit any theme park until mask mandate is removed. If that means years then so be it.

I hope they do remove mask. I feel safe going yo the places now and it doesn't seem the same with everyone wearing mask.

NO MASKS PLEASE!!
Read the labels for those that are in fear due to watching too much TV.
They do not protect against Covid!
Stop believing everything you hear & do your own research

Wish I lived in Florida!!! Massachusetts sucks.....can't even go to a freaking bar or get a cocktail without ordering food! This will all be over after election anyway and if not I will move to Florida, live my life, take my chances and never be a SHEEPLE! Go GOV. DeSantis.......good man!

I hope theme parks won’t jump to full capacity anytime soon.

Our trip this year was cancelled and we decided not to rebook because of the mask requirement. (I agree it's a good idea right now, I just don't want to have to wear one when we go.) We're booking after masks are no longer required. We're planning to come next November, hoping that will give plenty of time for this to be done at the right time.

Please please do not remove mandatory masks and limited capacity, those are the only reasons we kept our visit this year.

I’m staying away from the theme until covid goes away..it’s just not worth the risk...if others don’t care about their health or the health of others have fun

Open up, i will miss the empty parks. But people need to get back to work. I will be there no matter what.

If people are that worried about contracting a virus and wish to wear masks. They are welcome to. Parka are not going to mandate no masks, they should just remove the mandate to have to wear one. Let those who are not fearful, or understand the % of contraction to not have to wear one. Parks could limit capacity and ease restrictions bit by bit. But their business will only increase once mandates stop. People want a vacation, not have to follow rum after rule after rule

Let us go back to living our lives. Open it up and get ammunity!

Open up full capacity.. if you are that afraid without mask.. keep you butt home. Tired of you people and stupid masks.

I say go ahead with so called norms but keep the social distancing remove mask or make it optional for those who want to wear it we had a trio planned for oct but because of mask restrictions we are not coming I hope that by next oct we can come. I will not purchase a photo pass which I love if all my pictures must have masks on that's not how I want to make memories

Limited capacity, social distancing and mask should still be enforced.

Going to the park with a face mask on is something I am not willing to do. I hope the face mask policy is disappears so I could go back to this park and enjoy the day with family and friends.

Make masks optional then those that feel more comfortable with one will wear one and those who would rather not won't wear one. In this case everybody wins.

The governor is an idiot. There are 150 deaths every day in FL from Covid. The cases are surging. Who in their right mind would go to a theme park with no restrictions?

Waiting for the mask restriction to be lifted to take my family for their first Disney trip. I hope it happens before my kids are teenagers!!

Please remove mask requirements.

Um. I have a trip scheduled for 11/9/2020. If mask wearing and social distancing measures are removed, I will cancel.

I think it's ridiculous to move to phase 3. I wouldn't feel comfortable going anywhere if the face mask and social distancing were not enforced. Is it really so hard to follow safety precautions to keep people safe?

We have a family vacation in December planned! We only did this bc of the safety that disney is doing. Plz dont take away these guidelines we dont want to cancel

You're going to a theme park during a pandemic and you're worried about a mask rule? You shouldn't go if that is a concern. A mask won't stop you from getting covid-19.

I would like to take my family again, would leave tomorrow, but not until they lift the mask mandate.

I would like to see the mask restrictions more laxed. In particular the age for kids, taking photos, riding rides. If you can eat and drink and be in relaxation stations without masks, why have them at all? We were there recently and been light crowds , didn't seem it, some of the popular rides were outrageous with how long the lines were at some point half through to another ride. Minnie, mickey runaway railroad broke down, rise of the resistance had glitches trying to get boarding passes,i think they ought to do away with those passes. We will be back hopefully next year...

Carefully watching the actions the parks decide to take for our vacation at the end of November and early December. If they decide on no social distancing and mask mandates and we'll be cancelling. Already looking to see what refunds we can request on tickets already purchased.

In reply to by Serena Flannery (not verified)

You bought tickets during a pandemic with that kind of fear? A little paper mask will not do anything for protection...Wow, some people really have NO common sense .

Wear the masks if you'd like but don't force us all to.

Wear the masks if you'd like but don't force us all to.

I went last month and found the mask mandate to be oppressive. Sitting in a theater social distanced and more and yet masks were required. Riding on the tram with only family members in the car and yet masks were required. Employees at the door of small shops limiting access by forcing you to stand in a line even if they are not full but rather to make you go through the process of proper entry. Disney employees scolding children that let their mask slip below their noses even for just a moment. Getting scolded for lower your mask for a photo even if you were social distanced - almost secluded. Staying at a resort hotel and having to walk through the parking lot and down a long sidewalk with few or no others and yet having to wear a mask. I won't go again until Disney relaxes their mask mandate even though it means I will have squandered my annual pass.

Face Masks do Not protect you like you think they do! People have false security in this. Please, please remove the mask ordinance! Walking in the heat while not removing carbon dioxide from your air flow is terrible.

In reply to by Melanie Prince (not verified)

Masks were never meant to protect YOU. They are meant to protect OTHERS from YOU. Amazing that people still have not grasped this concept.

In reply to by Karina (not verified)

Someone needs to create a mask that simply protects the wearer. We invent new cell phones, rocket ships, medical treatment, but we can't invent a mask to protect just the wearer? How about we do that and you can leave common sense people alone and you can wear it forever, while you swim and shower forever and ever.

So masks are so smart that they know which direction the virus flows??????A virus can penetrate the mask on the inside too...I can't believe you actually typed that. The virus is 125 nanometers which mean that even N95 masks don't stop it. People that work around virus's wear HAZMAT suits and look like they are ready to go to the moon. Flimsy cloth and paper masks will NOT help.

In reply to by Karina (not verified)

This is false and unlogical. You are being lied to. But if you really believe your magic cotton has one way filtering properties then why not just wear it inside out and protect yourself.

We were going in november but had I known they may change this stuff I wouldn't have bought tickets. I'm hoping at least masks stay mandatory. Those who dont want to wear there just shouldnt go. We wont miss you.

We're going in mid to late October, and I was definitely looking forward to reduced capacity! Hoping they keep it lower, still.

Just returned from Disney on the 16 th of September and I hated the mask restrictions. Really made it difficult to enjoy yourself and made the heat twice as bad. I have no problem with reduced capacity and temperature checks. Bring back the later hours and park hopping too. You can’t even enjoy a nice dinner in Epcot after a day in another park because of restrictions of one park a day.

this mayor is a fool this is a political game and they are playing with our lives numbers already rising if they lift mask and social distancing rules i will not be attending in October as planned him and number 45 are trying to kill us population control

Not a chance will we visit for quite awhile. Enforcement of masks in a theme park when people are determined not to follow is impossible. Not worth our family's health for a week of rides and shows. Was originally hoping to visit this winter, but not happening unfortunately.

Keep the face mask and social distancing and low capacity, it's too soon for this

Mask wearing and Periodic temp checks I agree with. I do think they should phase it to 50% instead of Full capacity, then go to Full capacity. Use hand sanitizer. If you feel sick dont go to a theme park!

If you don’t feel comfortable, then stay home!

Planned on coming in late October but if social distancing isn't being followed and there isn't limited capacity I will definitely not be going.

I feel much safer without a mask. I'm not saying COVID is not real, but please stop watching mainstream media and other propaganda. Do your own research! The masks cause more harm than good. The numbers (of COVID cases and deaths), without a doubt, have been severely inflated. I have firsthand knowledge from medical personnel that they were, in many, many cases, forced to list COVID as the cause of death when it had nothing to do with it. They were threatened with their jobs if they didn't list It that way. They are simply showing how easy it is to lead you around by the nose, and testing to see how they will be able to limit your freedoms. Sadly it's working even better than they thought. Just for an example can't you see how they they "claim" that churches are unsafe when at the same time they open up so many other businesses. Additionally, big box stores are okay but small businesses were not. This has nothing to do with the "pandemic" and everything else that is going on; it has everything to do with control of the American people. They're trying to wipe out/ re-write history, shouldn't that ring a bell? Please, please, please wake up!

I am coming in the first week of December I think it should say mandatory to wear your mask while you are walking in the because I will be bringing my one and a half year old grandson

These changes feel like a breath of fresh air, literally! LOL. Holland and several other European nations do not enforce masks because "there is not evidence" to support making it a policy. I hope they open more restaurants, and remove mask mandates, especially for children. Its time to come out from under fear of this virus. We have enough data to know that its behaving as most viruses do. Leave fear behind and live life.

exactly, NO evidence but low IQ people insist on watching Fake news/ Propaganda . Besides, if you are that fearful why in the world would you go anywhere on vacation....Those little paper masks are not going to help. Use hand sanitizer and keep your hands out of your face. It is like any other virus/ flu. If masks were helpful we would have been wearing them for ages now.

I'm ok with masks, screens, reduced capacity and social distancing. However bring back the reasons why real Disney fans go to the parks to begin with. The ambience of Mickey..the park hopping, all the food, the food stands and these poor employees. And please why can't we have annual passes sold to Florida residents?

Continue temperature checks but NO mask requirements

Get rid of all the mask requirements!

I will return when face masks are no longer required.

I won't go to a theme park and have to wear a mask. If people can fly in like sardines then we can be in a theme park with no mask.

I won't go to a theme park and have to wear a mask. If people can fly in like sardines then we can be in a theme park with no mask.

Remove the pointless mask or lose our business FOR GOOD.

I believe face should be required while indoors but optional outside

Removal of masks is the ONLY way we'd return.

Please please remove mandatory masks at theme parks.

Are you serious ???

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

I agree with you.

If the people who are following these, *guidelines* hardcore really concerned about the alternative, then they shouldn't have bought tix to begin with! Haha

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

I would like face masks removed. If someone chooses to wear one as a personal choice then so be it but people should not be forced to wear anything over their face ever.

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

Yes, I agree.. go back to full capacity too.

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

I agree 100% do away with the masks. Let people come to the park and feel comfortable. It’s pretty hot in Florida I’ve lived here since 1978. It’s hard to walk around all day wearing a mask.

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

US Deaths:
209,238

In reply to by John (not verified)

that has already been debunked...go to the cdc website they clearly state that there have been only 9000 deaths due to Covid 19 the other deaths had at least 2 other underlying symptoms....many more deaths have occurred from the flu and pneumonia this year. rolling my eyes over here.

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

YES! More people will come WITHOUT masks being required than the few that will cancel. You can still wear a mask if you want to and if it makes you feel better. But I'm not wearing one no matter what.

In reply to by Stephanie (not verified)

You are spot on. We create new cell phones, cancer treatments, state of the art rocket ships, but can't create a mask that protects just the wearer? If you are afraid and like masks, wear the masks. I, being expected to pay thousands, will not subject my impressionable two girls to fear based, un scientific, masking. We didn't all of a sudden become smart in 2020. If masking worked to protect viral disease on a large scale, we would have done it say March 2020 and prior? People need to start waking up and quit living in fear of everything. Take individual responsibility for your actions and be smart. You can't stop disease nor death. But you can stop dictating how I live my life.

In reply to by Carolyn Shuttl… (not verified)

Really?
That’s a stupid request. Like reopening into phase 3 is also a stupid move.

We are coming the week of Oct. 7. I am hoping you all maintain the mask and limited capacity. I would not have purchased tickets for that week had I known this was a possibility so soon.

In reply to by Sarah Johnson (not verified)

Same with us in early December.

I was planning to go in October but if they decide to operate at full capacity, without masks or social distancing. I will stay home.

In reply to by Doris Acosta (not verified)

We were planning to go for October too, it actually looked like one of the safest trips to take because of the limited capacity/social distancing protocol, mask policies, temp screening, and being outdoors- but if they're going back to normal I guess we can't go. I'm actually kind of heartsick about it, I was looking forward to taking my family here. This is my first vacation days all year coming up in October. We're all so disappointed now.

In reply to by Doris Acosta (not verified)

Good choice its not worth it

While some restrictions may be reduced, social distancing may ease, face masks must still be enforced,

IT IS TOO SOON!

In reply to by Laura (not verified)

It’s too soon to lift ALL restrictions! If they keep temp checks and social distancing, then mandatory masks should be able to safely be lifted.

In reply to by Laura (not verified)

No it is not. We have to move on. People have to be responsible for their safety. I agree with the Govenor!

We booked Disney tickets over Christmas break only because of the limited capacity. If it returned to unlimited capacity and overcrowding, we may just cancel our trip completely.

I'm fine with face masks and the other restrictions in place. I truly believe that as soon as capacity limits increase, the positive Covid cases will increase, if other restrictions go away also. I appreciate all that Disney is doing to keep us safe.

We are long time season pass holders. Masks should be up to the individual, and limited attendance seems reasonable for some time to come.

We won’t be able to go to the parks if they don’t require masks until there is a vaccine next year.

Please Please Please don’t increase capacity yet, and yes masks. Work in health care and there is still a lot of covid

I think they need to up capacity at Disney so they will open MORE resorts, none of the All Star resorts or French Quarter/Riverside have reopened. Only high priced resorts are available.

In reply to by MindYaManas (not verified)

I had a reservation at an All Star resort for October, Disney called me to let me know there were closed and at no cost to me, I was upgraded to Pop Century. I'm with you though, I feel the capacity should go up and open more resorts.

I believe that mask wearing should be an individual choice because there are so many that cannot wear one. I also believe that if temperature taking and social distancing remain in place, wearing a mask should be optional.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable if they increased capacity. Masks a must.
