I did a 4-month research of the Splash Mountain re theme and the closing date of Splash Mountain for the re theme at Disneyland is currently unknown. We all know that the re theme for Walt Disney World is still happening since it's already opened and for Disneyland there is still hope for saving Splash Mountain since Disneyland is closed. Not only that there are rumors that the re theme might be canceled and since June 25th everyone is fighting the battle to save the ride. That's why I've signed up on Change.org so I can be part of this. Also I've been following SpoonfulForYou videos on his save Splash Mountain videos and he did an excellent job on his videos. You should check it out. I also made my own save Splash Mountain video as well if you want to check it out. By the way, On June 25th 2020 after we looked on the news after we got back from our walk I was looking at the concept art of the Splash Mountain attraction being re themed into The Princess and the Frog attraction on Facebook and on the news on different news stations on YouTube a few months ago and it is a cool idea for a Disney attraction and I like the idea. But there is still one problem, the cost. According to Disney Parks History classic rides like Splash Mountain is just to expensive to re theme. I don't think Disney should re theme Splash Mountain because it's not only a popular ride at Disneyland since 1989 but it's to expensive to re theme into The Princess and the Frog. Also Disney has lost a lot of money due to the COVID -19 Pandemic so Disney might not do it. Not only that 2020 is not a very good year not only for Disney but for us as well and it's kind of a weird year. But then a few months later Marvel fans want Black Panther to take over the re theme of Splash Mountain as well. It's just a recipe for disaster that undermines the point of the re theme of Splash Mountain and it doesn't do anything to add to it. Disney should leave Splash Mountain alone and shelve the project or put The Princess and the Frog attraction next door to Splash Mountain right where the back stage area is. Just like Disney is doing at Mickey's Toon Town for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway which is going to open in 2022. Plus it's the only way to save Splash Mountain. Or another idea, If Disney wants to do a Fantisyland expansion move The Princess and the Frog dark ride in Fantisyland and bring back the motorboat cruse and use that space for the dark ride. And for Black Panther Disney needs to do a new ride for Disney's California Adventure in the new Marvel Land. I've signed up on Change.org to not only saving the ride but to come up with come great ideas to put The Princess and the Frog attraction somewhere else in Disneyland. Since June 25th a few months ago and right now this Splash Mountain re theme announcement did not share the same success as the Tower of Terror re theme announcement or even the Paradise Pire re theme announcement did. Not only 2020 is a weird year but everyone doesn't like the concept art and they would rather prefer to keep Splash Mountain and save the ride for getting re themed. Not only that Splash Mountain is a fan favorite ride since 1989. Also during the coronavirus pandemic 28,000 Disney cast members got layoff because of this virus that’s been going on since March. So do you think the re theme of Splash Mountain will be canceled due to budget issues and Disney will move on to something else after the new year of 2021? I mean we got Mickey’s Runaway Railway coming soon to Toon Town in Disneyland in a few years. Also Disney has lost a lot over 1.4 Billion Dollars during the Coronavirus Pandemic. I would rather see Mickey's Runaway Railway than the Splash Mountain re theme. I would recommend to keep Disneyland closed until not only the coronavirus pandemic is over but until the Splash Mountain re theme is canceled. So that way it will give Disney some time to get the rides in the park maintained and repair, Clean up those COVID-19 germs, hire some new Disney Cast members, Bring back those live shows and do some new live shows and get everything ready in time for the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company in 2023. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KomL1neQOuA

I would think that re-theming Splash Mountain in a more cost effective way would be to go with The Country Bears. No race. Just animals. Tiana deserves something more original and thought out.

Love the story since my childhood!

Princess & the frog belong in the French Quarter area, near the Blue Bayou- that makes sense area. Seems out of place at Splash Mountain

Keep Splash Mountain zipadeedodah zipadeday my oh my what a wonderful day. Plenty of sunshine heading my way

Princess and the Frog deserves an attraction, it’s a great film but not at the expense of Splash Mountain. Disney has hurt the ride and film so much by not releasing Song of the South to start a dialogue and educate people not only on the film and the times but the history behind the Uncle Remus stories. The petition to save this ride is over 80,000 strong on change.org. I think Ms Georgia explains it best from the Uncle Remus Museum - it’s a short video, but all including Disney should watch.

I think the change of Splash Mountain should have be done long time ago and really is time for Disney to upgrade all parks. Tia deserves a theme ride, which Splash Mountain makes the perfect spot, along with the other minority characters that has been created such as Pocahontas, Mulan, and Moana. And to put it quite frankly, it is simply just a ride.

KEEP IT THE WAY IT IS!!! It's based solely on Bryr Rabbit... Walt already made sure to exclude any controversy by only including the Bryr animals. Splash is arguably the most iconic ride at the parks. How can they even consider doing this. Praying it's all just a stunt to sell merchandise and will not happen . Would like to join as many petitions as I can to stop this from happening. This ride is NOT racist or insensitive in any way. Nobody!!!!! Will be able to tell me different. Keep it Disney, Walt is doing flips in his grave right now.

I think splash mountain should not Be rethamd and should stay at the Park Bcouse it is Walt Disney’s Lagesy and should Be Left alone

No leave splash mountain the same

I think splash Mountain should stay Because it is Walt Disney’s LE

I wonder how many have actually seen the movie.

I love the Splash Mountain ride and I get revamping and make new but Princess Tiana? No, I feel in that area should be Frontier, Pocahontas would be a better choice, or change the character story line, but keep all the animals, the whole point is Disney is trying to be politically correct, and apeise a select group of people but at same time upset their other WDW fans.

I have mixed feelings. I was 9 when the ride opened, so I'm sorry to see it go. But I think Princess and the Frog is one of Disney's loveliest films, so done right the new ride can be quite beautiful. However, the only drawback is Splash Mountain has more memorable songs. I don't even remember the songs from Princess and the Frog, but that's the case for every film since Pocahontas, excepting Frozen.

There is the other idea of rebranding Br'er rabbit and his friends. New movie, new animation.

It's a shame because I don't want people to be uncomfortable going to Disney. This movie and story are not good. However the ride was done beautifully and the artistry is amazing
