I felt there were no real perks other than parking of being a premium annual pass holder before, and the price increase sealed our nonrenewal in June 2016.

I am glad to hear about these possible offers coming. With the cost, closure of so many attractions and constant gouging of the customer AP’s have become a less exciting purchase. I’d be happy if they brought back the special offer they had back around 2010 where you buy 12 months & get 18 (limited time offer). Disney doesn’t realize the added money AP holders dump each visit. If I have an AP I’m there twice a month dumping cash in to meals that cost half the price in the outside world. I’m buying stuff I stumble across in the shops. When we have AP’s we stay at the resorts more often (like 3-4 times a year instead of one or none), attend the extra pay events, do special dinning and so much more. If the AP’s cost a small fortune that leaves a foul gas in my gut about spending extra. Hence, AP’s have been on hold. I’m not sure Disney analysis of data looks at the long term gains they stand to profit compared to the immediate.

How about have some REAL concerts like Universal Mardi Gras....

I was an AP holder. I opted not to renew as I wasn't getting the same value as previous years. Changes need to be made (added value, something to thank us for being APs) just not sure what exactly would entice me to get AP in the future. Her's hoping they change for the better.

I have the most expensive annual pass. I would like to be able to stay for extra magic hours. Thank you.

I am glad Disney is considering pass changes. I knew we had big numbers. I miss the shirts and hats, there are less and less pins too.

I would definitely like to see exclusive passholders events and passholders lounge similar to universal and sea world

In spite of the hike in prices and the changes in passholder benefits, WDW is still my "Happy Place"
I certainly did not like the first part of the article, where it talks about extending the blackout dates to include opening dates of nre rides, etc
I will reserve judgment on the "new" benefit being promised in the fall
I renewed my annual pass just days before the radical changes, but found myself needing to upgrade since our vacation plans changed to include a summer visit to WDW - it was still cheaper to have the pass, as many days as I visited this year - I am a Florida resident but certainly not a local, I drive from Pensacola several times a year
As my pass expires in October and one more trip planned just before then, I am seriously considering letting my pass go until the new attractions at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are up and running - I will take into consideration what new benefits are announced

I am a FL Resident and Platinum holder. It's just perfect and I hope they don't change the format for that one. I like the benefit of no blackout dates so I can go when I want and can. If blackout dates are announced, I can't afford the upgrade and will live without an annual pass.

I would rather see a reduction in cost and less block out dates for the seasons pass then have perks such as special events or free gifts.

Had annual passes from around 2000 until a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the parks. However with rising costs, watered down customer service for passholders, declining benefits as well the charging of additional fees had caused us to stop going completely. When WDW announced the new cost and fees increase last year it was easy to predict a decrease in attendance leading to the massive lay off of cast members. Perhaps the budgetears could return to the "bring em back repeat visitors" venue with affordable park admissions, dining and resort costs.

I think the special event parties should be included for the upper tier pass holders. It's not fair that i pay all this money , then have to pay more just to go to special events...

I downgraded my $400 pass to the lowest level, just can't afford it as an annual florida resident to keep paying those prices. If they keep messing with the passes I'll just skip Disney and go to Universal

Actually in addition to the photopass benefit they added the very much appreciated parking to the lower tiered passes which made up for the price hike on my Silver pass.

Now I really hope they aren't thinking about further classing their guests by banning pass holders from experiencing new attractions?! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If anything you should reward your most loyal customers with sneak previews of new attractions. Not banning them from experiencing them. If they do this I think this will be the last straw. They keep encroaching on making a verified apartheid system of classes of visitors. I understand and applaud them for making experiences like dessert parties and other upcharge events. However, they keep doing things like taking the prime locations to view night shows or parades and making that part of the upcharge event. Now they are upcharging guests to be able to enter the parks earlier. But to say that only the upper class guests can experience a new attraction altogether is just a big giant slap in the face. I really hope the Disney execs are not that tone deaf.
