I would like to see Guardians of the Galaxy in Epcot's Universe of Energy. I don't like Ellen!

I am interested in the ideas, but personally like most people I know have said I would rather c a Tron light coaster ride in that area where the Ellen's Energy or where the Body Wars ride used 2 b. I agree those areas r dated and I agree they have no coasters in Epcot and every time I ride inside the Epcot ball, I can imagine a coaster being put inside. I also wish that they would reopen the observatory area of that ride so people can look at the stars even if they r fake stars. Afterall, that is what Epcot is about. It's about innovations, space, science, anatomy even though they shut down Body Wars, which was a shame cuz I liked that ride. It's also about culture which r the countries, agriculture, and a small area dedicated 2 marine life. If they replace Ellen's Energy it doesn't tie with the theme of the park. Tron on the other hand, I think would b a closer fit and it's about computers and technology which speaks more 2 what Epcot is about.

I will be so happy to finally see that hideous, shameless money grab gone from the entrance to EPCOT. It did nothing but bring in dollars for Disney, which they did not even reinvest into the park. EPCOT has always been my favorite park, but honestly I haven't been the last several years because it is just too depressing to see how horribly it has deteriorated.

GotG I think would blend better at HS given its blockbuster status. I would dearly love to see a version of the Tron ride in Shanghai take over the WoL and Energy real estate. Its futuristic, tech heavy focus is a better fit for that side of Future World.

Tron in the energy pavilion would be an amazing bridge between the classic and the new version and has a strong cult following.

While I'm not thrilled about Frozen in the World Showcase I do feel that anything added to Future World would be an improvement. Empty building are sad and it's just plain bad show.

The only thing I don't get about GotG at EPCOT is why they don't re-purpose the Wonders of Life pavilion, which has been shuttered since 2007. Personally, I like the Universe of Energy ride, but they do have to remind people that it takes 45 minutes and that if they can't sit for that long, that they should exit the ride before it starts (not midway through, forcing the ride to be stopped and evacuated... *slow clap* bravo to those who actually did that!). On the upside, UoE is such a big pavilion that it could house practically anything (a rollercoaster perhaps... conspicuously missing from EPCOT). If they turn it into 3 giant screen rides and a gift shop, I will be sorely disappointed.

Maybe after they move the leave a legacy slabs, it will be easier to walk through. I like seeing the dinosaurs in the universe of energy, but the ride is too long and the movie is outdated. I miss the innoventions from the 90s that had all the interactive games.

Not particularly happy about all the movie "stuff" going in to EPCOT. That's what Hollywood Studios is for. Seems that Disney is turning all the parks into more of a kiddie park - adults don't seem to matter.

Well, considering a previous article about the Wonders of Life pavillion and the Universe of Energy have recently drawn new visitors and new comments, this article is incredibly timely and relevant (though parts are poorly written, but I digress). Frozen Ever After is, not surprising, doing very well, despite the technical difficulties. And The Seas with Nemo and friends as well as the Three Caballeros in Mexico are also pretty popular with park guests. So I am not surprised to hear that Disney wants to keep bringing the characters into Epcot. However, I disagree that Guardians of the Galaxy belongs at Epcot. Although I haven't seen the movie, I don't think it touches on anything to do with energy or protecting the environment, despite having a racoon and a tree-type character in its cast. So I don't think it would be a good replacement for Universe of Energy. Since it has to do with space, I'm more inclined to the idea of it going into where Mission Space is, especially if the ride ends up being something that the entire family can do, without the risk of people puking and/or dying. I still say from my previous post that they should incorporate The Good Dinosaur into the Universe of Energy pavillion, as the concept of man interacting with dinosaurs does sound pretty interesting and could help teach today's generation about energy and how it has changed throught the years. The other side of bringing Guardians of the Galaxy into Epcot that this article touched on is even less appealing, that a Phase 2 would have the Guardians taking over the old Wonders of Life pavillion. Again, I don't understand the connection. I truly believe a pavillion like Wonders of Life is very important for today's generation, what with childhood obesity and teenage pregnancy bother sucheck major issues. And I still say that they should use the characters from Inside Out as the main attraction for a new Wonders of Life pavillion, and then incorporate material from Extreme Makeover weight loss edition and Dancing with the stars to flesh it out. If Guardians of the galaxy doesn't go into Mission Space, then it should have its own mini land at the Studios. As for the other 2 rumors, those are whatever, and inevitable.

Soon there will be no thematic difference between Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.

Virtually no change inside WDW would make me happier than the ejection if those hideous slabs at the entrance of Epcot.
They are a brutal sight to see as you start a day of fun.

Absolutely agree! They ruin the scale of spaceship earth and clutter what originally was a beautiful open space.

Here's hoping Disney finds a way to use some of those empty buildings at Epcot (especially if they can use Guardians of the Galaxy)!

I'm fine Erich the character and franchise infusions into the parks, but I feet that it will lead to a lack of continuity and identity for each park. What ends up tying all of the attractions together? Will we and up with 4 parks that eventually all end up the same--a hodgepodge of unrelated attractions themed to movies? (Sounds like Disney is just using Universal's playbook.). Disney needs to make up their mind as to what they want each park to be and execute it on a grand scale like they did with California Adventure, otherwise all of these changes just appear to be temporary stop-gaps.
