I wish they made a way that you can keep track of your meals you have used if you have Disney Dinning because let's face it I lose track and hate to have to go the front desk and find out

In reply to by Candace McDuffey (not verified)

They already do. Its at the bottom of every receipt after every meal. You can also look on your disney experience and track it that way yourself

So you'll be able to make a 4th fastpass from the app but only if you're in the park? I was hoping they would eliminate that little hiccup.

How about a Magic Band app for the Apple Watch? I don't see why there is anything a Magic Band can do that an Apple Watch can't do as well. You figure Apple and Disney already have a close relationship (since Steve Jobs sold Pixar to Disney and was Disney's single largest shareholder before he passed away.)

How about a super large MAGIC-BAND for each Disney Transport bus! The bands would pre-open a security gate as the bus was approaching a Disney Resort! Also as a enhancement, when a water park was CLOSED, the bus would then expedite its route instead of pulling into the water park on a day when there are no passengers and the water park was closed! Finally, what about a Magic Band each driver wore so that when they do shift changes (as often as they do), the Magic Band would sign the driver into that bus instead of the slow paperwork and clipboards currently used...

We went in November and had a lovely time. I look forward to being able to making changes on my smart phone on future visits. That would have been a nice feature to have during our last trip. I would also love to see Disney come out with a printed pamphlet that you can take with you to show you all the changes and features of the FP+ system. There were some things that we did not know how to do such as change ride times. We were stuck with what the computer chose for us. Thankfully our family is older and flexible so it worked out.

Fastpass is not something you're entitled to...it's a privilege. Disney doesn't have to provide it. Stop complaining about it and be happy that you get three fastpasses...you could be getting none.

Agreed. It is a privilege. People who complain about it should be grateful or lucky that Disney does not charge for it (still surprised they don't yet) unlike the competition whether they call it express pass, fast lane, quick queue or flashpass

How about more than 3 fast passes?? Why are we being limited? We are Platinum Annual Pass Holders ( Or whatever they are calling now) We should have more. You want us to plan our day out yet limit fast passes???

If they let all the annual pass holders have as many fastpasses as they felt they deserve because just because they're pass holders and feel entitled, the guests that save up their whole lives to be able to take their families once would be left with no fastpass availability. As a former cast member at Peter Pans Flight in WDW, I heard complaints on a daily basis from the FP+ side saying we gave out too many fast passes and the fast line was too long. They should get to go right on if they were pass holders. Then the standby line would go and say that we let too many FP+ through and they couldn't get fastpasses because they were all gone. All giving pass holders extra fastpasses would do would make the life of cast memebers that much harder. Personally, I think the paper system was better and they could have just updated it so it would be you scan your magic band/ticket and instead of the paper ticket it saves your time in a computer like now, but that's not how they did it. So deal with it.

We just stayed at Caribbean Beach which has the bus wait times. It makes sitting there waiting for a bus so much better because it gives you a set of expectations.

You'd think that Disney would treat park hoppers a little better. I'm still not a fan of the tiered fast passes. If I want 3 toy story manias that's what I should get. I understand that it's a system in progress, but it seems to be taking a long time to make simple adjustments

On your point of doing one ride 3 time why should you be able to do that? Lets be real some people save a long time to go to disney oncein there life time. So lets take that ride away from them because you want it 3 times and it makes you selfish if you go to disney more than once a year where you can get on the ride multiple times in a yaer anyway. The limit makes it fair for most people. You also have to remember tou get the ride 30 to 60 days in advance others just have to wait in a long line

In reply to by Byron Weide (not verified)

Sorry, but 'fairness' isn't guaranteed in life nor Disney. The old fastpass system allowed for getting three fastpasses for the same ride, just one at a time. Disney is a business. They are not mandated to 'be fair'.

In reply to by Tina McneilM (not verified)

There is a difference of being fair and just thinking of ones self and being selfish.no system is perfect. But with so much to do why be selfish to others.you can alway get a second ride on the 4th fastpass after you use the first 3.

As you mentioned, my one and only complaint with FP+ is only being allowed to make plans at one park - I am an annual pass holder of many years and I constantly go from one park to the other - even after using my three FP for the day at one park, I am not allowed to make new ones at another park

I was just there yesterday. We started the day at the Animal Kingdom with 3 fast passes. We used 2 and then went to the Magic Kingdom where I was able to cancel my third Animal Kingdom pass and then pick up one at the Magic Kingdom. When that was used we got one more and then another after that.

Were you able to use the App or did you have to go to a kiosk?

In reply to by Tina McneilM (not verified)

We had to use the Kiosk. The app only worked sporadically throughout our 4 day trip. And for some reason it drains my phone battery.

In reply to by Tina McneilM (not verified)

Kiosk---the app only worked sporadically throughout our trip. In fact all it really did was drain my battery and allow me to view my fast pass selections.

They need to add a feature that allows people to give their fast passes to someone else like in the old ticket system. Perhaps allowing you to transfer passes via the app.

No. That would just make the atractions busier.

Great changes the best one would be the bus times

Would be nice if annual pass holders could have their credit cards attached to their bands even when not staying at the park resorts.

Yessssss!!!

When a FastPass+ time goes by unused, it should immediately be removed from your list as if you used it.

Over Christmas last year we decided to skip one of our FastPass times in lieu of resting on a bench in the park (Epcot). Even at the kiosk, they could not undo that time, so I couldn't make any more FastPass+ reservations the rest of the day because that one was hanging out there. I had 3 Disney Kiosk attendants trying desperately using my phone, the kiosk, and calling a central location trying to get it removed with no luck.

If a time goes by (say 3:15 to 3:45), the millisecond the end time expires (3:46 in this case) that reservation should drop off your list. We didn't plan to blow it off, and by the time we got near the attraction it was almost at the end of the time slot, I just had 2 seniors and 2 kids with me that needed to sit more than to go to the attraction.
But it screwed me up for the rest of the day.

If you knew you would not make your time wjile sitting down or even knew it would be to close and you would maybe miss tour time. You should have changed it while sitting than you would not have had a problem. I did this on my last trip. We decided to sit also for a rest and decided to just change that fast pass. It had noneffect on the later fast pass we still had also.

In reply to by Byron Weide (not verified)

The point is you shouldn't have too. They should fall off after the grace period. If you don't know the fast passes are actually good for up to ten minutes past the time listed. After this time they should be cleared from your queue and not held against you.

I think it is ridiculous that you have to make 3 Fastpass+ reservations with the MyMagic+ app. If I only want 1 or 2,that is all I should have to get. The app forces you to get Fastpasses that you won't use for attractions that you don't want to go on. Also, I am not a fan of scheduling every minute of my day... I am on vacation after all.

So make the ones you want plus others and cancell the ones you dont when in the park or just dont use the no big deal

In reply to by Byron Weide (not verified)

I've never been able to just cancel the ones I didn't want once in the park. I've always gotten an error message. The one time I did cancel them I went to the in park kiosk and waited in line for 30 minutes. I wanted someone else to be able to get the FP. However, waiting in that line is not worth it and I would rather let the non FP line move quicker than go through that ordeal again. A better solution would be letting us be able to select 1 or 2 FP if that is all we want and not requiring all three.

In reply to by Leila (not verified)

I have canceled many and never had a problem. Also have changed them if when I have made it to the ride the line was short

Get rid of the FP+ system altogether and return to first come first served FP system even if via RFID technology. Some attractions are never open to those of use who stay outside the park

In reply to by Renee Walsh (not verified)

As long as there is magicbands which further encourages visitors to stay onsite, they will not go back to the old fastpass system because either guests were not fully using it or gaming the old system.

And they won't get rid of magicbands, which costs at least a billion dollars to develop and implement.

FP+ is just another thing wdw does in addition to extra magic hours to encourage visitors to stay onsite
