Call me a curmudgeon but we long ago said it was our last visit to Disneyworld. What's with the fantasy addiction that makes folks go there so much at the exclusion of real and much cheaper places? Get your family in the car and visit our beautiful natural parks. Take a hike together and leave the technology. What ever happened to the ice chest and family picnics? Get over the entitlement mentality that Disney is the best vacation spot ever. I'm thankful to have lived in an era when I enjoyed being with my grandparents and was not raised to expect lavish trips from them.

This is a SAD, SAD day in my family.
WDW has now priced itself out of my pocket. We have gone at least once a year, stayed onsite and enjoyed our anniversary. Now they have just priced themselves far too high. We used to but 7 and 8 day passes that did not expire. Now that puts the final nail in their coffin. I wish them well and Goodbye

With Disney raising prices every year it really does show that there is a demand for more theme parks in the Orlando area. The only thing that will stop this is less demand and it sounds like Disney is having no problem supplying its parks with customers. If Disney kept its prices so low then everybody could go. You would deal with problems of sold out parks and no hotels to stay in. I remember this happening in the 80's when I was a kid and they would shut down the park because it was at capacity. In my mind I don't mind paying a little more knowing that the park will not be more crowded then it already is.

Is it true that Flower & Garden Free Seminars are only going to be on Friday , Saturday & Sunday ?.Prices are going up & M-Th seminars won't be available ? Why is Food & Wine everyday & not Flower & Garden!
Need upfront explanations from Disney ! HGTV no longer sponsoring? Disney ignoring Flower& Garden Seminar Participants?
Frustrating & very upsetting !!!!!

I am 51 years old and never have been to Disney and now it looks like I never will. My kids have never been there either. We live paycheck to paycheck so, so much for Disney.

What about Disneyland? Are their prices going up as well, and if so how much will park hopper passes be?

It seems no matter what the cost there are always crowds and long lines at WDW. If you are a true Disneyphile it doesn't matter! We are AP and renewed early to avoid increase.

I am a Annual Pass Holder. I completely understand price hikes. However I do not like price hikes with diminishing benefits at the same time. Either keep the price the same and lower benefits or increase price and keep benefits. Hitting it on both ends means you're paying more for even less. That I don't like nor agree with.

I am an annual passholder and Disney is my only "vice" I don't mind when they raise the prices as I am on the EZ pay program where a certain amount is taken out of my acct each month. Disney is the one place I go to for my attitude adjustments, and even though I am retired and on a fixed income, this is my one guilty pleasure. this automatic process allows me to go to Disney at least 4 times a year.

I think the price hikes are always unfortunate, but also one of the few ways they can try to curb over-capacity issues. Don't get me wrong, Disney wants to fill their parks, but they also know that even they have (legal) limits to how many people can enter. If the parks are always over-crowded, I think that would be more of a turn off for people to visit again than the price increase to keep the marks at a very profitable but not insane capacity year-round.

I wish Disney would have some kind of Senior Discount

I Love Disney... BUT this is very sad that they are expensive enough as it is. We usually go ever few years with our entire family, 26! Stay at resorts, dining plan, 8days... We all have said it's gotten ridiculous & no more DISNEY! Sad to say I will miss it & so will the rest of our family! ONE more thing... I have a few neighbors who work at MK, if you raise the ticket price and charge soo much, give your employees a raise!!!

I feel they are pricing it where low income families will no longer be able to go. Only the upper middle class and rich will be able to afford the parks anymore. I know it's getting to where I won't be able to go..

I feel Disney has always been out of reach for low income and middle income families. We are in our forties, make over$100,000 a year and just are able to commit to annual passes. Because that is just the start of the cost....add in parking, eating ect...plus the time involved to go and it's an expensive endeavor. When our family of four had an income of half what we had now we relied on employees to get some of us in and had to budget for the rest of us for a year to buy 2 tickets. It wasn't even an annual event and there was no way even with a monthly payment plan we could have been pass holders...too many other priorities.

Take a second to look at Disney history. How it started with Disney Land and that grew, and Disney world and how it's never stopped growing. I go just about every week if not every other and i see families of all walks of life (and yes lower income families, excuse me for this judgment but unhealthy teeth and dirty clothes and children is how I see them). You have to understand that every "price hike" is 10-15 dollars, alright, but what about the price of gas that was almost 4 dollars, or milk that when I was younger was a dollar and now is 3 on a good sale. That's life. That's economics. And if you want to make an excuse of why maybe you can't go, go right ahead, but you can do anything you put your mind to. Walt taught us that and im sure he's rolling over in his grave annoyed with these comments.

Just one quick correction - the Park Hopper option never extended to the "Water Park Fun & More" admission venues. If you visited both Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon on the same day, it used two of your "Fun" options, whether or not the Park Hopper option was on the ticket. I'll be interested to see if tickets purchased under the old policies will offer guests the ability to move freely between the water parks, or if it will remain a 1-1 requirement. Thanks for the updates! :)

My husband and I are snow birds. We buy annual passes so we can go for half a day now and then. However we have not been able to go much this year due to my health. This is the last year we will be able to purchase annual passes as the cost has gotten ridiculous. I love Disney, but they have priced us out of the parks. I and very sad about that.
