Lights Motors Action is also being CLOSED... That is where "Cars Land" will be and Indiana Jones Stunt Spec. will be the location of the long awaited Star Wars Land!! Not many people knew this, but I did and I cannot wait. So go see LMA and IJSS before they are GONE!
There has been no such announcement made regarding the closure of Indy. It is all rumor and heresay. People work there and your rumor-mongering can be hurtful. Please only trust official Disney information sources. Thank you!

My condolences to those of you who will miss Indiana Jones. I am not one of those people. The park opened with this show, and while it's a good one, it's past time for a change. Indiana Jones is an old franchise. Star Wars has 3 fresh movies coming down the pike. The timing is perfect.
Luckily we will still be able to visit Indy In the Great Movie Ride, which is a fitting home for this iconic classic character.

I found out that the great movie ride will be closing also sometime this year or next and although they have not told it yet they are going to put STAR WARS LAND IN. I was told this in May of this year while visiting the Park. Just hold on tight because they should be making the announcement soon. Was talking to the ACTUAL Star Wars director and he said that Disney was doing this. So he let the cat out of the bag before Disney got to. So if this doesnt happen then its his fault for saying that it was going to be so. There have been so many rumors about it and they are actually going to do this. Cant wait. He said that it would be completed by 2016 or 2017. so I am excited to see what rides and things that they put in.
i really doubt the great movie ride is gonna be closed down to make room for starwars land, i heard that indiana jones is closing,american idol, then the backlot tour ride,streets of america an lights motors action show would be cars land.
I'm really surprised at the Indiana Jones closure - it always seems to be really popular, and I love this stunt show. American idol on the other hand, although I enjoy it, always seems to struggle to pull in a crowd.
But very excited to see if the Star Wars land rumours are true! This would be amazing!!
I hate to see classic park attractions close. Indy would be missed but Hollywood Studios is in need of something more. I would love to see cars land come and replace lights, motors, action show.
I agree Kim, I think that show has had it's day and HS definitely needs a new lease of life!
I am also very bummed about the loss of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. I honestly think another possibility is to
keep Indiana Jones, and possibly make a Land Before Time attraction to make a lucasfilm area of the park.
I do not believe Lucasfilm owns the sole rights to the Land Before Time. It is a Universal Studios franchise and Amblin as well as Don Bluth's Studio were involved in it's production.
Yeah, I realized this after commenting and forgot to edit my post. I was basically using this movie as an example, as there are many other movies

I'm always surprised that Walt Disney World doesn't just expand beyond the 'berm'.They have plenty of room to make all of Walt Disney's dreams come true.
Not at studios. It's surrounded by roadways. Land locked if you will. To get new things there you have to get rid of old things. Including employee/backstage areas. Google Earth Hollywood studios and you'll see what I mean.
While a Star Wars Land would be fun, I am sad to see the Indiana Jones Stunt Show go away... So many memories, including the time when I was an extra.
Star Wars land is a good idea don't get me wrong but, I hate to see the Indiana Jones show close. It's Like the greatest show they have there that will be very missed. One of my favorites. A true Disney classic and been there ever since it opened. They can change the show perhaps make it better you know I guess it is kind of the same you know people get tired of the same stuff but I mean at least change it you know not get rid of it completely. Don't know but whatever is best is fine by me but I still think in my opinion the show should stay but I know you got to move with the times and all.
