3. It's home to some amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences
Even if you’re a huge Disney fan and visit Walt Disney World on a regular basis, chances are you haven’t tried these unique, underwater tours. If you have tried them, chances are you’ll never forget the experience. That’s because the The Seas With Nemo and Friends' tours take place underwater, and include up close and personal interactions with dolphins, rays, turtles, and even sharks.
So what are your touring options?
Epcot Dive Quest, for certified SCUBA divers only, starts with a 40 minute underwater exploration of some of the clearest, most beautiful marine environments in the world. After you’ve met eagle rays, angel fish, dolphins, sharks, and more, you are escorted on an in-depth behind the scenes tour. If you’re serious about the sea, this is an amazing opportunity to pack everything into a 3 hour experience.
Dolphins in Depth, for visitors ages 13 and up, will have you wading into water up to your waist (yes, you need a bathing suit!) and interacting with these intelligent mammals. Says the Walt Disney World website: “Dolphins are highly intelligent animals whose interaction with Guests is voluntary; they are never forced to participate. Fortunately, dolphins are also extremely social and generally friendly, so while interaction isn’t guaranteed, it is likely.”
Even if you don’t wind up having a long “conversation” with a dolphin, though, you’ll absolutely have a chance to converse at length with animal trainers and researchers who work with the dolphins every day. You’ll also sit in on a dolphin training experience.
Epcot Seas Aqua Tour, for kids as young as 8 (and adults as well), is a snorkeling excursion that allows you to visit the incredible animals and environments of The Seas With Nemo and Friends for about 30 minutes. You’ll also get a chance to explore “backstage,” meet trainers and researchers, ask all your questions, and (of course) you’ll get a “free” souvenir photo.
None of these tours is cheap; the cheapest is $140 per person. Another reason why the amazing undersea world of Epcot will most likely be a “once in a lifetime” experience for most visitors!

Actually, we just went SNUBA diving in the aquarium and everything is indoors.
Sir the reality is none of the tank is outdoors. The facility is completely enclosed. I ought to know I worked there as a diver the first four years it was open.
Sir as a former diver at the seas I can assure you that none of the tank area is outdoors. Never has been.
While I don't have specifics on the dolphins, please know that what you can see as a guest is only a TINY percentage of what you CAN'T SEE going on back stage. Meaning that those dolphins, if an open air tank is required according to the AZA, have one. Having animals in captivity at all is a second debate, but I can guarantee the AZA isn't recertifying them every year if the health standards are not met!
agree.. Even worse they stole them from the wild and removed them from their pod.
