It has been confirmed that after a year away due to COVID-19 EPCOT will be bringing back its fan-favorite Candlelight Processional event from November 26 through December 30, as part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This year’s event will once again take place at the America Gardens Theatre with a live orchestra, cast choir, and celebrity narrator retelling the traditional Christmas story in spectacular and heartwarming fashion.
However, one change this year is that Disney will not be hosting youth choirs from different community groups and schools, and instead will be expanding the cast member choir to fill the stage with voices. Disney has said that the guest choirs may return in future years.
Additional details, including the schedule for celebrity narrators and information about Candlelight Processional Dining Packages will be released at a later date.
This returning entertainment favorite at EPCOT will be joining the new “Disney Very Merriest After Hours”, which will debut on November 8 and take place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom through December 21. You can read more about this event here.
