2021 is set to be a very exciting year for roller coaster enthusiasts in Florida with the opening of Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as well as the much anticipated VelociCoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. A couple of weeks ago Busch Gardens increased the hype around Iron Gwazi by officially releasing a ride-through POV. This video shows the sheer scale and intensity of this new attraction coming to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in 2021.
Iron Gwazi is a gator-inspired attraction in which riders will experience a dozen airtime moments, including three inversions. Iron Gwazi will be the fastest and steepest hybrid wooden/steel roller coaster in the World. Riders will reach speeds of up to 76 miles per hour after plunging from a 206 foot-tall peak into a 91-degree drop.
A collection of amazing photos of Iron Gwazi have been posted by thecoasterkings.com. The 206 foot-tall peak looms and is extremely impressive. I can’t help feel that any guests who is slightly scared or dubious about riding Iron Qwazi may run away very quickly when glimpsing the height of the drop. On the other hand, for majority of guests the view of the towering peak will certainly get hearts pumping.
The S-turn, which comes towards the end of Iron Gwazi looks different to anything that has been seen from RMC Hybrid Coasters before. This S-turn can clearly be seen in one of the photos in the collection as can one of the hair raising rolls and what should be an exhilarating outward banked hill.
