I'm a 28 year old kid who loves anything to do with Theme Parks. I grew up in East Anglia and was a regular visitor to Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and Pleasurewood Hills. I used to have a real phobia of proper roller coasters until I was (literally) dragged onto Nemesis at Alton Towers. Since that day, I have been to almost all of the major Theme Parks in the UK and a fair few in the USA riding some of the biggest and best coasters in the world.
Top five that I have ridden are
1. Nemises - The original one at Alton Towers.
1. Raging Bull - Six Flags Great America, IL.
3. Ride of Steel - Darien Lake, NY
4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster. Kings Dominion, VA
5. Saw: The Ride, Thorpe Park.
I had to put Nemises and Raging Bull as joint 1st as they are both incredible, but in very different ways. Later this year, I am hoping to make it out to Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA, and one day, I am really hoping to take the wife and kids to Florida. I cant be a theme park enthusiast all my life and not head to the theme park capital of the world.
I used to work at Center Parcs in Suffolk and as an avid fan of Disneyland Resort Paris, I am intrigued to find out more about their possible partnership in the future with Villages Nature. If both companies can get the service, quality and experience that they are famed for all into one area, it would make for an incredible experience.
I am a current Merlin entertainments annual pass holder and am planning on making it to all of the passholder preview days that are to be held in March. I personally can't wait to see more about what Thorpe Park have in store for 2012. If the rumours are to be believed, we could see the first 4D Coaster in the UK, here's hoping anyway!
Anyway, I've gone on long enough, and I'm sure you'll see me around here alot over the next few years.
