If you want to ride the big rides definitely go early when queues are a lot shorter! If not arrive at about 4.30pm when most visitors are starting to leave and take advantage of shorter queues right up until closing.
Make sure you check out Extra Magic Hour days in advance using the calendar on the Disney World website and avoid these like the plague!!! As there are so many resort guests often there is no advantage at all and you end up queuing longer than if you went on a normal morning!!
Take advantage of free drinks and snacks all day!!! There are huts scattered around the Park so it is early to grab them at anytime!!
If you're desperate to see World of Color at Disney California Adventure, you can make sure of a place by arriving early in the morning and grabbing a FASTPASS from the Grizzly River Run FASTPASS booth. On busy days, the passes run out quickly - so try and arrive well before opening time to join the queue.
Arriving early can make a huge difference to your day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Get to the park 30 minutes before opening, and head straight to the Simpsons Ride. You can then be first in line to head to down to the Lower Lot and The Mummy Returns coaster when it opens. This will save you hours of waiting in line during the rest of the day.
Epcot is a huge park, which requires guests to walk long distances with very little shade in places. Try and avoid spending too much time wandering the park during the sunny afternoon hours - head back to your hotel, or hide in one of World Showcase's many dining locations.
Kids almost invariably love getting soaked in the "splash zones" at SeaWorld's shows. However, particularly on peak days, these seats fill up fast. Plan ahead and arrive early to avoid disappoinment...and have a few spare clothes handy.
It's easy to overlook the Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure, but it's well worth a look. Updated on a frequent basis, it offers a glimpse at new attractions that are being worked on by Disney's Imagineers.
We've all been there. You spend the day standing in lines for rides and attractions and come lunch time, you're in another line! I'm all for theme park snacks (they're fun!), but sometimes the full on meals are a bit expensive and no fun if you have to wait in line. By packing a small or collapsible bag of sandwiches and other goodies, you can save on lunch, skip the line, and eat them while you're in line for attractions, thus saving you time! Splurge on dinner at the park, when you're tired from all that running around. :)
