This may seem extreme but if you don't book as early as you can then don't be surprised if you can't get into the restaurants you want to. It pays to read up on the numerous restaurants (The Unofficial guide has loads of good information) and plan which park you are likely to be in on each day of your visit. Early booking will avoid disappointment.
Bring a bottle and fill it up at the water fountains in the parks, saving money and time queuing at concession stands. Also, although you aren't technically allowed to bring your own snacks, Disney will usually turn a blind eye to a few small items which you can nibble on during the day.
Many of the animals at Disney's Animal Kingdom are more active during the morning, when the weather is less hot. Try heading to the park early to catch them at their most playful.
Although FASTPASS is a great option for avoiding the lines on Expedition Everest, try and see the full queue line at least once (go early in the morning to avoid the crowds). It's incredibly detailed, and almost a walkthrough attraction in itself.
It's remarkable how many visitors to Disney parks fail to take advantage of the FASTPASS system - and that's all the more reason to make sure you are one of the savvy ones. On busy days, maximize your use of FASTPASS to reserve time windows during which you can return to join the much shorter FASTPASS line instead of the regular queue.
If you are on Honeymoon purchase a set of bride Minnie ears and wear them at all times. You often get given free drinks and treats!!!!
A lot of people watch the parade and often sit for an hour in their chosen spot. As a consequence of this the ride queues are shorter in the hour before and during the parade, so a good time to get on the rides that dont do FASTPASSes.
If you are on the Disney Dining Plan and you are a couple, think about using one snack token for a cold drink and the other for a deliciously big cake from one of the many bakeries!! The Boulangerie in the French area of the World Showcase at Epcot and the Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom are particularly good!
