4. Disney Springs now offers $250 personal shopping experience
Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort is now offering a new personal shopping upcharge experience that allows guests to shop side by side with fashion expert Melanie Pace. These special sessions cost $250 per hour and include a personalized, one-on-one consultation with a proven fashion advisor, fashion recommendations, and beauty tips.
5. Planet Hollywood Observatory now open at Disney Springs
After a few delays, the reimagined Planet Hollywood Observatory restaurant is now open at Disney Springs. This four-story restaurant now features several all new spaces, including a 4,500-square-foot video wall the uses trompe l’oeil 3D technology – images with such realism that they appear to be in three dimensions as well as thousands of pieces of movie memorabilia.
The menu at this dining establishment has also been overhauled, with a selection of over-the-top burgers and sandwiches by celebrity Chef Guy Fieri, hand-dipped "supernova" milkshakes and plenty of delectible desserts now on offer. You can check out the full menu here.
6. New elephant calf can now be seen with mother at Kilimanjaro Safaris
Late last year Disney announced that one of their female elephants had given birth to a healthy baby girl named Stella. And now, after a brief time backstage while mother and calf were bonding, this adorable pair have been moved to the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, where they can be seen every day interacting with the other elephants who call this attraction home.
7. Paddlefish to open at Disney Springs next week
Paddlefish, which is the new restaurant in the former spot occupied by Fulton’s Crab House, is now set to open next week on February 4, 2017. Once open, Guests will be able to order classic dishes from Fulton’s Crab House, such as Lobster Corn Dogs and Crab Legs as well as some new options such as Lobster Risotto, Jambalaya, and more.
