Images: Alton Towers to overhaul Old MacDonald's Farmyard area for 2014 season

Old MacDonald's Tractor Ride

Alton Towers has applied for planning consent for a major overhaul of Old MacDonald's Farmyard for the 2014 season, although it will not add any new rides to the area.

Instead, the plans call for a retheme of Old MacDonald's Farmyard, along with changes to existing attractions. Rumours suggest that a well-known brand could be applied to the updated area, with the plans concealing the identity of any potential sponsor or partner in the name of "commercial confidentially".

Several "festival tents" will be located in the area, along with a large marquee. New shows are likely to be hosted here.
