"Long-lost" Disney characters to appear at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Robin Hood characters

A range of classic Disney characters will make appearances at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom during "Long-Lost Friends Week" from July 15-21, 2013.

The characters will meet-and-greet guests in Town Square on Main Street, USA, close to the entrance of the park. Visitors will be able to have their pictures taken with characters including Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, the Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John, Chicken Little, Abby Mallard, Brer Bear and Brer Fox.

Disney has confirmed that other "long-lost" characters will also appear at the park.

Long-Lost Friends Week is part of Disney's Limited Time Magic celebrations, which involve different special events being held at Disney's US resorts every week during 2013. This will help the company to overcome a lack of major new attractions during the year, as well as drawing in guests for repeat visits.
