Theme park news round-up - April 24, 2013

Space Mountain

Universal Studios Hollywood announced its intention to build its own version of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter some time ago, and construction work will finally begin later this summer. Expect a clone of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, as well as a host of other attractions, shops and restaurants. Meanwhile, Universal Orlando has extended the dates for this year's Halloween Horror Nights, while the bizarre management decisions behind the recent closure of rides at the Disneyland Resort are revealed.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood will begin construction on its own version of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in late summer 2013, after authorities gave final approval to its Evolution Plan.
