After several years out of action, Kentucky Kingdom appears to finally be on its way to reopening. The shuttered park is currently being inspected by prospective new operator Ed Hart, who plans to reopen it in May 2014. Meanwhile, SeaWorld San Diego and Busch Gardens Tampa will both launch a live musical show based on Dreamworks' Madagascar movies this summer, while Universal Studios Singapore's Sesame Street dark ride is due to debut in March.
Kentucky Kingdom
Former owner Ed Hart, who is set to take over as the new operator of the shuttered Kentucky Kingdom theme park, says he expects it to reopen on May 24, 2014.

SeaWorld San Diego and Busch Gardens Tampa
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has struck a deal with Dreamworks to bring a new show, Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation to SeaWorld San Diego and Busch Gardens Tampa in 2013. The musical show will feature characters from the hugely popular Madagascar anaimted movies, including Alex, Gloria, King Julien, Mort and, of course, the mischievous penguins.

Disneyland Resort
Ahead of the release of Oz The Great and the Powerful, the "Journey to Oz Balloon Tour" will fly in to the Disneyland Resort on February 17. The film itself will arrive in theaters on March 8.

Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris will host a special event featuring The Aristocats as part of its Valentine's Day 2014 celebrations, as well offering special character meet-and-greets.

Universal Studios Singapore
Dejiki offers another update on progress on Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase at Universal Studios Singapore. Posters have now appeared at the park advertising a March 2013 opening date for the new dark ride, with a passholder preview due to take place this weekend.
