Universal Studios Hollywood has been working on its Evolution Plan for more than half a decade, and it looks increasingly likely that it will become a reality after the Los Angeles City Council approved a development agreement. Meanwhile, the project to bring a clone of Cars Land to Disney's Hollywood Studios is said to be being accelerated, while Disneyland Paris will add two new scenes to the popular Disney Dreams show.

The Los Angeles City Council has approved a development agreement with Universal Studios Hollywood, moving the studio's $1.6 billion Evolution Plan another step closer to reality.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
MiceChat reports that plans to install a clone of Disney California Adventure's Cars Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios are being rushed ahead, after the Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland failed to have the impact on visitor numbers that Walt Disney World was hoping for. However, the Luigi's Flying Tires ride, which was expensive to build and has limited capacity, will reportedly not make the transition to Florida.

Dollywood
Dollywood has confirmed that the RiverRush water coaster will debut at its Splash Country water park on May 11, 2013, and has released a video preview of the ride.

Disneyland Paris
Disney and More reports that Disneyland Paris will update the Disney Dreams show with two new sections, based on animated movies The Lion King and Brave. The "Glow With the Show" ears that have proven popular at Disneyland will also be introduced at the French resort, where they will be known by the slightly duller name of "Disney Light Ears".

Flamingo Land
Flamingo Land has removed its Wild Mouse roller coaster, as the park prepares to install three new attractions for the 2013 season.
