LEGO Star Wars Days

After weeks of speculation that the ride would not be ready for the start of the 2013 season, Alton Towers has confirmed that The Smiler roller coaster will now debut in May. Meanwhile, sister park Thorpe Park has announced that the back two rows of The Swarm will be reversed to enable riders to experience it backwards, while LEGOLAND Florida will host several special Star Wars events this year.

Alton Towers has confirmed that The Smiler roller coaster will not be open in time for the start of the 2013 season, with the new addition now set to debut in May.

Thorpe Park has confirmed that its "surprise plan" for the 2013 season involves reversing the seats on the back two rows of The Swarm roller coaster.
