After all the hype surrounding the debut of The Swarm roller coaster last year, Thorpe Park looks set for a relatively quiet 2013. However, the park has begun teasing "surprise plans" for the new season, prompting rumours that the much-maligned X:\No Way Out roller coaster could be set for a badly-needed refurbishment. Meanwhile, Ratatouille is taking shape at the Disneyland Resort Paris, and Disneyland is gearing up for its New Orleans Bayou Bash.

Thorpe Park has begun teasing "surprise plans" for the 2013 season, sparking rumours that the theme park could be set to refurbish an existing ride or even install a new one.

Walt Disney Studios
The Disney and More blog offers an update on construction of the new Ratatouille dark ride at Walt Disney Studios, Paris, which is due to open in 2014. The ride will be based on Pixar's Ratatouille movie, which was set in Paris. Concept art for the attraction was revealed in 2011, showing that it would be surrounded by a new area themed around a Parisian courtyard.
